Hey Guenter - I enjoyed your article in the April Provinz (PCA UCR region newsletter) about your trip down to the Blue Ridge Parkway. It made me look forward to the upcoming BRBS even more!by Crooster - Main Forum
I also own an '87 944 Turbo track car with a big K27-8 turbo. I love the feeling / sound when it boosts up! Quite addictive!by Crooster - Main Forum
Hi Peter - I'm local (Cambridge) and curious as well given I have a base Boxster of similar vintage. I would love to take a peek depending on timing.by Crooster - Main Forum
For reference, here is the page from my manual:by Crooster - Main Forum
Puzzling over this myself too for my new to me '01 with 110,000Km. The owners manual seems to suggest 10W-40 synthetic as being "in range" for cold and warm weather driving so I'm tempted to go with that. I have been using 5W-40 Kendall GT-1 Synth (Euro blend) in my 951, mainly that's what Furtmair was filling it with for the previous owner.by Crooster - Main Forum
Just LS3 it!by Crooster - Main Forum
We are hoping to attend for the first time as well. We have booked our room and are awaiting more registration details. There are a few things still in flux that might preclude our attendance but we are going to try our best to make it down.by Crooster - Main Forum
Remember to let them know that you are extremely disappointed that the 991 GT3 is only available with PDK! ;-)by Crooster - Main Forum
I would love a Macan as a DD. Perhaps in about 10 years the depreciation will be enough!by Crooster - Main Forum
We also made the run down to NOTL Saturday. Top up on the way down but once we got off the highway onto the Niagara Parkway it was time for some fresh air. A great lunch at the Charles Inn and a quick walk around the town and then top down all the way home to Cambridge. Great day but I fear it might be the last until next spring. :-(by Crooster - Main Forum
Thanks Pedro - that video pretty much looks as I had pictured it would go. The one obvious step further you could go is to show the DOF in action. Might be challenging but it would go a long way in convincing the skeptics.by Crooster - Main Forum
Is that Furtmair or German Autotech?by Crooster - Main Forum
We definitely took advantage of the nice weather to do lots of top down driving over the long weekend. Shot lots of fall foliage photos but unfortunately none with the 986 in frame! I will have to re-think my priorities! Here is the bridge and dam on the Grand River in Paris, Ontario.by Crooster - Main Forum
We have a set of Conti DWS on my wife's Mazda3. These should not be considered snow tires - just all seasons that work somewhat in light snow.by Crooster - Main Forum
Agreed! Surprising that nobody is offering this as a service already.by Crooster - Main Forum
Does the single projector bulb give you high beams as well?by Crooster - Main Forum
LOL - agreed. A new set of "wheels" is the ticket!by Crooster - Main Forum
Thanks! That is a huge improvement. I will consider doing this over the winter.by Crooster - Main Forum
Sounds a bit frightening but I would love to see some photos. Thanks!by Crooster - Main Forum
I'm pretty happy with the cosmetics of my new to me 2001 Boxster, except I would like a new set of rims and the inner headlight lenses are melted and yellow, like many other Canadian Boxsters I looked at. I'm guessing the daytime running lights are the culprit. Is there a way to refurbish these or am I looking at replacements? Too avoid this occurring again I would like xenons but the factoryby Crooster - Main Forum

This was at Toronto Motorsports Park outside of Cayuga.by Crooster - Main Forum
Ok - here we go. We just picked up our 2001 Boxster (base, Seal grey / black / black) a few weeks back and have been loving it. It is my 3rd Porsche. I have been into 944's for a while with an '86 944 (that needs to go) and an '87 944 Turbo that is used primarily as a track car (full cage, race seats and harnesses, K27 turbo, 928 S4 brakes, Weltmeister sways). After meeting Guenter at a recenby Crooster - Main Forum
Hello Everyone! My first post here - Guenter told me about this board when we met a few weeks back. We thought about attending but it would have been 4 PCA UCR events in 4 consecutive weeks. Targa Muskoka, London Fun Run, DE at Mosport, Muskoka Fun Run! It seemed like too much but now I'm wishing we went!by Crooster - Main Forum
