I can feel you pain. I lost three dogs over the years and none of them were agonizing. We will get another dog once I decide to retire so I can have time to keep the dog company. Lenby Len In Naples - Main Forum
Gary, Thanks for the idea on the storage gizmo. Off course I want you to feel sorry for me as I owe the bank a lot of money. On the other hand on bad days on the market you could lose enough in a single trading day to pay for a new 911 and that really sucks even if it was a paper loss.by Len In Naples - Main Forum
The one thing I remember with my 99 Boxster the rear trunk got very hot so I would not store anything that could get overheated. I do not recall that that was the same in the Cayman S but the AC could enter from the main cabin though. Sandwiches? Maybe you could heat them back there?by Len In Naples - Main Forum
I have had my 2014 991 Carrera S Cabriolet for three weeks already an I love this car but I really do miss my Boxster and Cayman rear trunks to store stuff. Yes I have a nice full leather rear seating area to put stuff for road trips but with the floor hump and the risk of damaging the leather it makes one think out how to maximize the use of that rear seat area. If you want to use the wind screeby Len In Naples - Main Forum
I just got a 2014 991 Cab S but in spite of the many options I ordered I was not able to get a back up camera. With the small rear window sometimes it is a challenge to back up safely even with the front and real sensors. I am hoping that I can adapt a Panamera or Cayenne Back up camera to this car but I want it fully integrated with the PCM3 like in my Cayenne with back up grid and the front andby Len In Naples - Main Forum
I wanted to share some recent experiences with my Cayman S and the CDR 30 radio - Strange loud popping sounds from the speakers only after starting and only random. The volume would blast when starting even when it was turned way down when the engine was last turned off. They replace the head unit but the problem is still there and now they will replace the amp now. This is stuff that drive you nby Len In Naples - Main Forum
I am waiting for Heaven on Earth = a new Porsche but I am also waiting for the Heaven in Heaven but not in a big hurry to get there. Anyhow Guenter's new Boxster is well worth the wait. If I had the money I would have one of each model. I would have kept the Cayman S if I had a spare garage. For Guenter I highly recommend the PCA Org Web site and Panorama to sell you other car. It is free and iby Len In Naples - Main Forum
What are you waiting for? Sounds interesting. BTW I will miss the Cayman S - it is a wonderful car. Len Options = empty pockets but lots of grins!by Len In Naples - Main Forum

I appreciate all of the wise advice. I will take the advise and go by the book. It is too darn expensive to screw it up. This one has the PDK so at least it will make sure I will be in the right gear and I will leave it in auto for the break in period. I will post photos etc. once it arrive end of Julyby Len In Naples - Main Forum
Dear Porsche Enthusiasts, It has been a long time since I posted on any Porsche Forum site so excuse my interjection of an old but still debatable topic. I originally owned a new Boxster back in 1999 and took it to many BRBS Events and had a blast with it for over 10 years before moving to a 2009 Cayman S which I just sold. I also have a 2011 Cayenne S for long trips and hauling more than twoby Len In Naples - Main Forum
I just sold my 2009 Cayman S and have a very nice Silverguard car cover with cable lock and storage sack. Very good condition. Only used in in my garage but it is an outdoor version. Only used less than 10 times. Paid $160 and selling it for $80 Plus shipping cost. I can email pictures of anyone is interested. It will not fit my new 991 so that is why I am selling it.
