....almost the one for me. It sounded terrific until I got to the PDK part. I realize that the PDK will likely produce quicker lap times. But how many times will this car be used to win championship races with titles and $$$$$$$$$$$ on the line?by Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum
that Porsche will surely solve this issue by allowing you to tick off the the right options. Most owners will be more than willing to add the BSE option for a mere $3000 - $4000 so it will sound like they're virtually driving a real Boxster.by Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum
As usual, Pedro, you have all this information at you fingertips as soon as it comes out. A lot of what you've already written about, is recapped in the video.by Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum
This seems like good history and what Porsche is doing and is planning to do with E-fuel.by Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum
The handle makes perfect sense. It is a fabulous area. We finally had a chance to visit Yosemite on our second attempt. Our first time was in 2009 when we took my 2006 Boxster to California, but the road through Yosemite was closed due to fires and we had to detour to the north. We finally got to see it when we toured through there in 2017. That time we had a rental. Feel free to post more picby Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum

Yesterday was the official start of the Porsche driving season here in Ontario. Upper Canada Region had its official kick off with Shift into Spring held at Porsche Centre Vaughn (part of Toronto). It was a cloudy and cool day, At least it was dry, so a few of us were able to make the 60 mile trip with tops down in the fresh 38 F weather. It was nice seeing a 1971 Karmann Ghia out. Great story. Sounds like a special relation with you Boxster. Lots of history. It's something enjoy. Thanks for sharing those great pictures.by Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum
On our recent trip to Florida I spotted another classic, this 550 Sypder. It did have an "Outlaw" badge on the dash. It looked pretty authentic. Wish I could have had a chance to talk to the owner. Not sure if the owner drove or shipped it from California. It even had a Karosserie Wendler Reutlingen badge - they built the bodies of most of the 550's.by Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum
Great stories and wonderful memories. Boxsters are really special cars. Thanks for sharing your memories and passion.by Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum
Quotecarlos in Montreal They said you cannot put golf clubs in the rear trunk. You can fit 2 sets nicely tucked in I've done it. Yes. Golf clubs fit into a 987, but the 981 and 981.5 rear trunk is slightly narrower on the inside, so no golf clubs.by Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum
Thanks Pedro. Just what I needed this morning. The sound of that lovely Symphony in Flat Six and Jay Leno sums it up nicely. I guess you're talking about the editing error where they show the 986 interior with 5 speed manual when Jay is talking about the 6 speed in the Boxster 25.by Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum
My wife and I were fortunate to be able to visit Florida during the last two weeks of December and missed the havic Mother Nature threw at the eastern part of Canada and the US - although it was somewhat chilly even in Florida for a few days. While there, we had a chance to get together with Pedro and catch up on happenings of the past few years. It was a great visit. I even got a chance to get sby Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum

The Great Thinker certainly got it right. We all have a lot to be thankful for. Happy Thanksgiving to all of our south of the border friends.by Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum
QuoteTheFarmer That must be a base Boxster, it has a single exhaust tip... That's for the optional BSE (Bose Sports Exhaust)by Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum
Hey Pedro. Nice to see you enjoying some northern colours. Yes, that RaggTopp does a great job of keeping the roof material in good shape. The Boardwalk Reunion Looks like a great event. We managed to get out with a group of Porsche friends on Sunday. It was pretty overcast, but this year the colours are better than usual. This trip took us up into the Blue Mountains around Georgian Bay.by Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum
The Fall colours are really showing up here in Ontario. Corn is pretty much done. Mother Nature's way of saying, "Enjoy it while you can, 'cause you know what comes next."by Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum
Looks like it was a great day for a drive. Classic Boxster, the finish makes it look brand new. Phone pictures have come a long way. But a good camera still takes better pictures.by Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum
Good to hear Pedro. Sure sounds like things were bad further south - Fort Meyers and Naples. Good to hear you're taking down stuff instead of having to build stuff back up.by Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum
Looks like the Gulf Coast took a really bad hit.by Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum
I'm not sure where the coolant temperature sensor is located. My guess is it's near the thermostat in the engine. The oil temperature sensor is probably part of the oil level sensor located in the oil pan under the engine where it will be influence by ambient temperature more quickly. So in the pic that I posted, it could be the dropping overnight temperature has cooled the oil closer to the ambiby Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum

I told her she still can't negate the laws of physics, and it would p_ss me off if she did that to me. Hmmmmm. I've kept the car on a plain Die Hard maintainer for most of the life of the car if it sits for more than a day. Initial cold reading with engine off is about 12.3 (no maintainer) to 12.5 with. Hey Laz, you have your display setup just like mine. Taken a couple of years ago with cold engine on a warm summer day. Always kind of interesting that the coolant and oil temperatures are usually a bit different when the engine is cold. You'd think that in the garage, they'd be the same temperature. Is your cruise control and display control on the same stalk? On my 2014, the cruise control iby Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum
You're onto something there Mike. I've always thought the volume control on the Boxster stereo sits under the right foot.by Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum
Lazy, you summed it up very nicely. "Awesome" describes of the Symphony in Flat Six spot on. I'm 15K miles behind you and have lòved the sound every single mile.by Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum
