It started with the singular goal of head stud replacement but has snowballed into a full rebuild as I got into the engine and discovered more damage and wear than expected. Brettby Brett 1978 911SC Continental orange (San Diego) - Main Forum
Yeah, that's funny. I was looking at it thinking. That looks like a time lapse. I couldn't have taken that. LOL Sorry for the lack of credit. Brettby Brett 1978 911SC Continental orange (San Diego) - Main Forum
That's a special picture. Thanks for posting! Brettby Brett 1978 911SC Continental orange (San Diego) - Main Forum
I missed news of Cheeky. I recall his heartfelt post years ago of his "right seat" passing on. Brettby Brett 1978 911SC Continental orange (San Diego) - Main Forum
Yep, Biarritz white/metropole blue/metropole blue. A couple pics if we're taking a trip down memory lane. I recently saw "txhokie4life" (same username) posting over on Pelicanparts.com while in the middle of an air-cooled 3.6 L rebuild. Guess rebuilding watercoolers just wasn't enough. I haven't looked at the boxster board for months... a year maybe, and here's your relevant post... I guess I don't really fit the inquiry as I wouldn't say I frequent Pedro's Board, but nice to see familiar old usernames and hear from a few. No boxster in my garage. Still just the 1978 911 and 356 project. The 911 is a project right now, too though... Greetings all, and keep keeping the Boby Brett 1978 911SC Continental orange (San Diego) - Main Forum

Quotejwdbox QuoteGuenter in Ontario It actually won't bother me. I get the front trunk and Mrs. G gets the rear trunk. There'll just be less room for shoes and purses. Gee, somehow I just can't see that being the outcome. Perhaps Mrs. G would find a better place for the spare One that may result in difficulty sitting down. Yeah, it's pretty much a BS excuse (if talking about buying brand new). Most just want a new car and feel the need to rationalize. If buying a new used car, then one may come out ahead with the right deal. Now, if they had said something about not liking the hassle of more frequent repairs, which may be the case with an older car, then I'd buy that. But, of course, there are plenty of new carby Brett 1978 911SC Continental orange (San Diego) - Main Forum

You admittedly don't drive hard or fast in your Porsches. You'll have no problem. It ain't rocket science, and I'd hardly put it in the category of putting yours or others lives at risk. Unless you have a road hazard tire warranty that requires "professional" service to honor the warranty with new tires, plug 'em and go. Take the bull by the horns, man. Right now, I've got an engine with Jby Brett 1978 911SC Continental orange (San Diego) - Main Forum
The syntax of the images should look like this in the text window: h.t.t.p://address.jpg[/.i.m.g.] (Remove the dots in the img tags in the brackets and in the http. I have to put them there to keep the computer from trying to turn my example into a pic or link.) Also, hit the "preview" button first and look at the post before clicking "post message." Kind of a silly list and even sillier company, but Haggerty put it on their silly list. LOL Brettby Brett 1978 911SC Continental orange (San Diego) - Main Forum
