Pedro, Thanks for the response. You are right. The weird thing is, I think what was really toast was my charger, since I charged it for a while. The battery was less than 2 years old, so I took it back, and they ran a 2-day slow charge on it, and it seems to be holding fine, but will keep an eye on it. I just thought, if the charger was on it (it did spark), that would be enough to turn someby Mark from SC - Main Forum
So, I have a 2003 Boxster S. I had it in the garage for a while, with a slow charge on it, as I hadn't driven it in a while. Well, should have checked it first, but didn't, so I took the charger off, closed the hood, and jumped in, but there was NOTHING - to lights, no radio, no anything. So, I know about the 'plug' that pops out of the fuse box, so you can put a charge to it, and open back upby Mark from SC - Main Forum

I had a similar situation in Indiana. Got a ticket on the way home to SC. Got a few letters. Called one of them, and the lady said 'I cannot guarantee anything, but I've done 1000's of these over the last 10 years, and they have always turned out the same'. So, I sent the $250 (about $100 premium over the ticket), and a couple weeks after the 'court date', got a letter stating that it would bby Mark from SC - Main Forum
Sorry to hear about your loss. I lost my first dog after having her for 17 years - one of the toughest days of my life. Took me about a year, but now have my new best friend, Oli. Completely different dog, but both very special in their own way. Dogs are such wonderful creature! RIP Megabyte (Meg for short). Markby Mark from SC - Main Forum
2007 BMW M5. Mainly because I tried to put my wife on top of the car, and my golf clubs inside (you know, it could rain or something), and that didn't go over very well, so this was the compromise...by Mark from SC - Main Forum
Always the weekend after Memorial Day. Of course, it keeps 'growing' and starting earlier and earlier - this year started on Wednesday....by Mark from SC - Blue Ridge Boxster Summit (BRBS)
I have to add, I was at BRBS, and the solution presented did make sense to me. If Lubrication is the issue, this should resolve it. It looked to be very thought out and well designed, and IMO, reasonably priced, compared to other solutions.by Mark from SC - Main Forum
That was awesome. Thanks for sharing.by Mark from SC - Main Forum
Good seeing you again. Now, the question is, did you shorten the video, or did it run out of 'room' on the SD card after 26 seconds?by Mark from SC - Blue Ridge Boxster Summit (BRBS)
QuoteJaay We stayed for the past two years at the big lynn down the road. It's like sleeping in the extra room at your grandmothers house HaHa - that's a good way to describe it! However, does have some pretty awesome views - much better than Grandma's!by Mark from SC - Main Forum

Well, with the warm weather just around the corner, I finally got around to fixing this. Based on the recommendations, I purchased some new drive cables, and went to work. As suspected, the Driver Side cable was broken (sheered off the 'connection' - it was still stuck in the motor area). So, it was just 'spinning', without doing anything. Really wasn't too bad a job to replace it all. Withby Mark from SC - Main Forum
Happy New Year everybody! Thanks Pedro for all you do for this community!by Mark from SC - Main Forum
Sorry Pedro for the rough year! Next year has to get better. Keep us posted on recovery - you and the car!by Mark from SC - Main Forum
Wow - thanks guys for the detailed information. I'm going to look at this when I get back into town and see if I can figure out what is going on. Once it happened, I just stopped, and left everything, as I was leaving town soon. As always, some very valuable and detailed information. I'll update when I have more details. I started a recent conversation with 'Honey, I'm thinking about my next car being 'Old American Muscle', what do you think?'. She said 'NOOOO....Not an old car!'. So, we went back and forth for a while, telling her my thoughts on the old muscle cars, etc. Finally, I said, 'Ok, well, how about a Porsche, Twin Turbo...'. She said 'YES, YES, much better'. We then went on 'arguing' (discussingby Mark from SC - Main Forum
We do have a lot to be thankful for. Thank you guys for this board, and keeping us informed on everything Porsche. What a great group of people willing to help others.by Mark from SC - Main Forum
I know I've heard about others having this particular issue, and so I thought I would check here, to see if anybody had some suggestions on how to proceed. Basically, I went to close my top this morning (it had been left open, in the garage, for a few days), and I noticed things weren't right, as I tried to close it. I then tried to open it back slightly, and am currently in this particular posby Mark from SC - Main Forum
I bought this one, used however. I think he has been going through some medical issues, and hasn't been selling them lately, but I haven't checked. May want to send him an email. Very similar to what Pedro shows. I have mine, but haven't done the 'install work' yet. Got to do that this winter, to get ready for track season next year! Now, if you could have also gotten that "mpg" to show 100.... Congrats! Come to think of it, why is that showing MPG, instead of Kilometers per Gallon, or Liter, or something?by Mark from SC - Main Forum

Definitely - should have the parts back this week, so will be putting it back together. Will definitely get it back out. If you've been at BRBS in recent years, which I believe you have, you've probably seen it. It is the 'all black' lowered one...by Mark from SC - Main Forum
Good seeing the CURVN8R at C&C this morning. Beautiful Car! Makes me start thinking about doing an 'upgrade' myself. Glad you brought it out to Greenville though! Markby Mark from SC - Main Forum
I usually go to that event, but didn't make it this past weekend. Heard they had 192 cars - new record. Hate I missed the 981s.by Mark from SC - Main Forum
I think he's had it running for a while now, and it is his 'weekend warrior' that he uses at the track! Good luck tracking it down!by Mark from SC - Main Forum
