Thanks Pedro, that is what I thought.by MikelSr - Main Forum
Thanks Pedro, I thought of that and will end up reaming them but I would like to determine the reason it wouldn't fit. Mikeby MikelSr - Main Forum
I had to replace the expansion tank on my 2001 Boxster (tiptronic) this weekend. In doing so I removed the rear transmission cover to see if I could get better access to the hoses. I had to pry the cover off and now I can't get it back on. Has anyone else had this issue? If so, how did you get it back on? I did a search on this topic and didn't find anything. Is this due to the suspension settliby MikelSr - Main Forum

A friend of mine recently sold his 2001 S with 78k miles on it. The new owner replaced ims bearing and changed the oil after the bearing was replaced. This is what my friend told me, "The new owner said there is silver aluminum flakes/particles in the oil. He already had the motor pulled and the clutch and ims replaced and they said the ims was good." My friend said the new owner is worried thatby MikelSr - Main Forum

We still have the same 986. Bought it in 2003 and still need to get another few years out of it (we keep them 10-15 years) but then again the new Caymans and Boxsters are looking very good!by MikelSr - Main Forum

Thanks Michael. I've contacted the president and membership chair of the pca region and looked at their website. I didn't know about the private track. Hopefully I'll get an invite to that one of these days. I don't think I'll be able to do Boxstoberfest 2012 this year, it is just to close to moving (but I'll try). Again thanks, Mikeby MikelSr - Main Forum
My wife and I will be moving to San Antonio TX later this summer. I will be bringing down both my Boxster and 914-6. The Boxster is used for fun and the 914 is used mostly for AXing but it is street legal and I do drive it (although I trailer it when racing). Are there many autocross events down there and are there places to run on a track? So I am wondering how many people on this board are froby MikelSr - Main Forum
I just had the alternator replaced in the Boxster before I put it in storage and I guess the battery (which is fairly new) wasn't charged up enough. This is the third battery I've put in the Boxster since 2003. I'll charge it this weekend, wash and wax both and put them to sleep for the winter. I do think I have a exhaust leak in the -6 though. I could smell exhaust when I turned on the heat andby MikelSr - Main Forum

On Saturday, Dec 11, my younger brother Kevin, 55, passed away. Kevin was not a Porsche guy (I tried to get him to cross over to the better side) but an American made heavy metal guy. We would harass each other every year about who made the better cars, which were more collectable, etc but we were both car guys and that bond would never be broken. His death was totally unexpected and to make thinby MikelSr - Main Forum
