I'm going to do the springs and struts maybe next weekend, but all I have time for tomorrow is the sway. Can I get away without an alignment if I mark the bushing locations really well? Then maybe 400 miles before the big fix and alignment. Thanks, Mikeby DFW02S - Main Forum
I probably should have said Northeast, anyone coming from Philly to Boston would recognize the ethnicity.by DFW02S - Main Forum
You just never hear that kind of East Coast talk down here in Texas.by DFW02S - Main Forum
Too much water, a bit much on the throttle, but at the time it came as a complete surprise. And I thought that I was going to recover right up until it stopped. Fun starts at 15 secs.by DFW02S - Main Forum

At least it's back on the road and running like a champ. Unfortunately, the warm weather has arrived and I might not get to sample the full benefit of the UDD until October.by DFW02S - Main Forum

It had all the options, premium luxury group or something like that. Very comfortable, excellent ride, quiet inside, handled well enough for the street (no track time in it), plenty of power. When you switch into performance mode you can actually feel the change in steering tension in addition to the ride tightening up. Things I didn't like, shift throw is too long which is easily fixed, the eby DFW02S - Main Forum
66k miles and this little factory abrasion caused a leak into the oil. Doesn't take much, does it!by DFW02S - Main Forum

... which they say is indicative of coolant. Didn't notice it by eye. Suddenly the CEL (misfire on #5) and losing coolant without a leak made sense. I've probably driven it 400 miles with the CEL off and on and the coolant up and down.by DFW02S - Main Forum
Or tell me the truth ... is the engine scrap? 2002S, 66k miles.by DFW02S - Main Forum

Thanks for your help guys, it makes sense. So in the drawing below, is the lower reservoir half item #8? Or is it the bottom of #1? I tried taking #1 off but I can't seem to get that collar that goes over 4, 5 & 6 to do anything but spin. Tight working quarters too.by DFW02S - Main Forum
the reservoir must be leaking given the volume on top of the engine.by DFW02S - Main Forum

A few weeks ago I had to add power steering fluid. At the track last weekend, the car started smoking and it was leaking oil droplets through the slipstream up onto the rear bumper. So I took it apart today and found that the overflow hose from the power steering reservoir isn't connected to anything (see pic). Is that possible? Or is the reservoir leaking from the bottom? First, thanks for any help you might provide. I don't have a detailed drawing to reference. The 1st oily part shown below is in the top of the engine compartment, just about in the middle of the car, just behind your right shoulder if driving. Directly below it, maybe 18" is a spot where the oil has dropped and then likely run down to the bottom of the engine, right in the middle of the car. Theby DFW02S - Main Forum
