Quotejwdbox Of course the fact that it takes up more than half of the rear trunk will tend to cut down on the length of the 'road trip' you can take. . . It actually won't bother me. I get the front trunk and Mrs. G gets the rear trunk. There'll just be less room for shoes and purses.by Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum

QuoteRed_Lightnin! First, why don't you guys use miles in Canada? I don't think you have pay the U.S. a licensing fee or anything - I thing anyone can use them. Well, John, it's pretty simple, really. We use km so we're allowed to go way faster than you guys south of the border. We can go 100 in places where you can only go 60 without getting a ticket. As far as licensing - I believe miles isby Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum

One of the photos in the "Related Articles" section clearly shows that the clam shell is gone and the roof extends back farther to give the rear window area a more gentle slop. It looks good with the roof closed. Just wondering what it will look like with the roof open. Will it be a long portion of roof showing? Still DON'T like those plain, ordinary looking mirrors stuck on a gorgeous car likeby Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum

I agree about the saving money part. I don't think buying a new car saves money. My experience goes back to my first used car I bought. 51 Morris Minor. Owned it for a year. Filled up the tank and had it in for repairs twice a month. The last straw came when I came up on a red light. I hit the brakes, pedal went to the floor and I sailed on right through. Lucky for me there was no-one coming theby Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum

QuoteRed_Lightnin! However, I have never heard of a water cooled car with a water pump making it past 100K, hence Prof. Dr. Porsche's preference for air cooling. quote] I've had 2 Audis and 2 water cooled VW's make it to 150+K miles with no water pump replacements or other coolant issues. Now you can't say you've never heard of it before.by Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum

Thanks for the link. Those pictures should end the speculation about hard top convertible. Clearly a ragtop. By eliminating the clam shell, looks like the window section of the roof has more rake to it. It looks good. Just wondering what it will look like with the top down. Looked like it might have been too cool to have the top down in those pictures. Still don't like those mirrors. They'reby Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum
Steve, you live in such a scenic part of the country. I'd be out driving for lunch every day and then again for a sunset drive. On our California trip, we stayed one night in Pismo Beach. What a fantastic sunset we enjoyed overlooking the Pacific.by Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum
