..This trip is going well. We should be in Palm Desert tomorrow. Bullitt has been a surprisingly good cross country steed. Especially with West Texas's 80 mph limits. Never been to the auction site before and it IS impressive. Next Monday it will just be a parking lot and lots of empty desert, but today it is a car guy's dream.by dennisafrompa - Main Forum
Why Porsche does what it does is a mystery. Some cases yes and some no. My case was yes with some costs involved, about 3 grand. I now live life without them or their cars. They are an inigma wrapped in a mystery surrounded by intrigue, but that's just my take.by dennisafrompa - Main Forum

...I thought my ears were ringing. The 350Z was an enjoyable car and had no issues, but the Bullitt has been on my mind since it's inception and actually since the first '01 were produced. When a particular '08 Bullitt crossed my path for the 3rd time I knew it might be fate. I'm enjoying it and will drive it to Palm Desert CA this winter, two weeks from now in fact.by dennisafrompa - Main Forum
QuoteMarkinMD The Top Gear UK "Christmas Special" featured a trip by Clarkson, Hammond and May to the East Coast of the US. They start their trip on the Blue Ridge Parkway with a GT3 RS, a Merc SLS and a 458 Italia. Perfect cars for The Parkway, right?!? You can see it here... For those of you who are into bit torrents, the 720p HD rip really looks good... With a 45 mph limit, not reallyby dennisafrompa - Main Forum

I hope my luck is better going out to CA in January with the Bullitt. I'm pretty sure I'll go farther south using I-30 and then I 20 after Dallas. I-44 and 40 were OK in the AWD G35 but probably not in the Mustang. I know I'm not imune even on those routes, but they are at lower altitudes. You always have an adventure. Hope I don't! ...always had a hankerin' for one of the "special edition" Mustangs such as the Shelby GT,but couldn't get past the stripes and Shelby name all over it. So when the Bullitt was introduced I test drove one and almost traded the Boxster. This particular car crossed my path for the 3rd time, once as new and twice as pre-owned so I thought the time was now. It's a totally different animal, but I reaby dennisafrompa - Main Forum

I didn't think it was all bad. probably better than if NBC did it. I think it will take time for the personalities to develope like some sitcoms do. I wonder what the first year of Top Gear UK was like and how it grew to what it is now. I think being on cable will allow it the time, the big 4 wouldn't give that time. The camera work was good I thought.by dennisafrompa - Main Forum
