Nicer looking than a Fiat 500!by dennisafrompa - Main Forum
QuoteMikenOH In that view it definately has the '68' look; What all did you add to get the look? First the chrome bumpers were added as well as chrome trim around the grill and tailights, then retro headlights and mirrors. 17" torque thrust like wheels with knock off spinners vs the stock 18"s allowing a higher sidewall tire. Finally the California JJZ 109 plate that was on Lt. Frank Bullitt's caby dennisafrompa - Main Forum
Lot's of suspension work makes any car better. After the works, including heavier sway bars, lower springs, adjustable panhard bar and fully adjustable shocks it handles well. I'm up on the wheel more because it is still a handful with the 3.73 gears, limited slip and a full race tune. You must be careful with throttle application. It doesn't weigh much more than the 350Z, just BIGGER. I'll betby dennisafrompa - Main Forum
I'm happy with some American Muscle. I think the 986 is the most perfect sports car ever and if I had Pedro's car mine would still be with me.....BUT I can't see me owning one again. This Bullitt is great fun...still autocross it and the guys that own them tend to be older car guys and their forum is interesting and fun! Check it out www.imboc.com There are a few Ex-Boxster/Porsche owners and a fby dennisafrompa - Main Forum
QuoteRoger987 Sorry, Dennis, but your poem came in dead last. Really, no contest. My poem?by dennisafrompa - Main Forum
As a pure outside observer now, I find the newer an bigger Boxsters not quite right. In fact a buddy of mine has has original '98 with 16" wheels and it looks absolutley tiny compared to the 981 and yet still has more payload. Maybe someday I'll get a 2.5 survivor for cheap and keep my fingers crossed.by dennisafrompa - Main Forum
It'll fall apart if you take it through a car wash!! Ran mine through very often but I don't think that made the IMS fail!by dennisafrompa - Main Forum
Yeah, nobody wanted the 964...but they do now. Prices are way up, not that I'm shopping. It was the start of the "modern" suspension era in 911s. Good cars just had funny bumpers that look OK these days.by dennisafrompa - Main Forum
Lucky you.....How's life in the suburbs? Do you miss the upper west side?by dennisafrompa - Main Forum
There is one every Saturday in Irvine. Starts early 6:30 or so and clears out by 9:00. Hundreds of very interesting cars from Lambos to low riders and Street Rods to Carrera GTs. Oh, and they have coffee too!by dennisafrompa - Main Forum

Nope not you.by dennisafrompa - Main Forum
...at a cost of $3100. Also I was a 3 time new Boxster customer. However you seem to think the IMS failures are not legit. Both mine were diagnosed by tear down as directed by PCNA and confirmed as such. I commented on this thread because some one mentioned I had 2 failures on my 550 SE which I did not. I also commented because of the notion that lack of use is the problem. You my friend justby dennisafrompa - Main Forum
You'll have to excuse Gary, he's full of Kool Aid and doesn't believe any of this happened. If it did it was everyone's fault except those folks in Zuffenhausen!by dennisafrompa - Main Forum
...that dennisa guy only went through one on the 550 SE. But he had another failure on an '02 2.7. The notion that the car at your dealership wasn't driven enough is pure poppycock. They would probably say that mine was driven too much, 62,000 miles in 4 years.by dennisafrompa - Main Forum
...besides the crazy 16 grand asking price, it is listed as having original paint and no known issues or repairs. Well this car was wrecked by the local Porsche dealer during it's 30 K service. No body panel escaped damage as it was run backward though a chain link fence. Of course it has a clean carfax 'cause the Porsche dealer fixed it and kept it as my trade for the '04 anniversary edition. Alby dennisafrompa - Main Forum
....miss my old sunflower yellow 914 2.0 and the red 356 Super B coupe.by dennisafrompa - Main Forum
Hey Gary, you continue to make me out as some sort of carper!! I DO know what failed and YES I did get a new motor after a charge of $3100 for partial tear down and R&R. Plus I had to sign a statement that essentially claimed Porsche had no liability in this and was purely a good will gesture. Further, I was shown the damage to the bearing by Autohaus in Lancaster PA. You are totally uninforby dennisafrompa - Main Forum
Oh boy, maybe I'll get 10 bucks a piece for my 2 IMS failures!by dennisafrompa - Main Forum
Why, hardly anyone in FL knows how to drive anyway.by dennisafrompa - Main Forum
...BUT other Mustang boards suffer greatly. I guess Bullitt owners are an older demographic. Gotta say this one is still the benchmark!by dennisafrompa - Main Forum
Sorry for you Pedro. Now on to a newly freshened 986! Hope your health is now in better shape.by dennisafrompa - Main Forum
QuoteGuenter in Ontario Love the script on the rocker panel, Dennis. The Curve Artist. Somehow, has a nicer ring to it in German. ...and believe me the car was the artist, not necessarily the driver.by dennisafrompa - Main Forum
