as far as I can tell, all of the articles about hacking autonomous cars are "what if" speculation articles. It's not presently an issue, even though there are plenty of level 2 autonomous vehicles on the road.by Boxsterra - Main Forum

You can get some up/down movement on the front of the engine by loosening or removing the front engine mount bracket and using a jack to raise/lower the front of the engine.by Boxsterra - Main Forum
In 16 years they have built a car company from the ground up, released 4 vehicles (roadster, S, X, 3), sold 720,000 of them, are well into development on several others (Y, pickup, semi, roadster 2), 12k superchargers in 39 countries, done significant development on 3 ginormous factories, created and sold 2 energy storage products (powerwall, powerpack), and led the industry on autonomous drivingby Boxsterra - Main Forum
Most of the money Tesla has spent has been in R&D and building out infrastructure, both of which sacrifice short-term profits but are very good for the future (as long as the company can stay in business). The one time they focused on profits, they were profitable. Then they went back into prioritization of long-term and profits went down. Judging by the valuation of the company, investors beby Boxsterra - Main Forum
The key head is never programmed. Each key has a unique code that it sends and the car is programmed to recognize that code. You could program multiple Boxsters to recognize the same key code if you wanted. There is a possibility that the car has "forgotten" the key that doesn't work but I wouldn't consider that first. Besides, in order to reprogram the car you need the code that comes with the kby Boxsterra - Main Forum
Is the hesitation only when you first press the gas pedal? What was the symptom when you brought it in to the shop? Seems like they should have fixed it.by Boxsterra - Main Forum
The fact that the tank has been replaced makes that a suspect. You can check that the three hoses protruding from the front of the tank (in the engine compartment) are all straight and have hose clamps near the firewall. Also take the coolant cap off and check the threads on the tank to make sure they're not stripped. Years ago I needed to replace my tank and I was super busy at work and didn'tby Boxsterra - Main Forum
It's a really nice looking rack. It's true that you can't operate the top while it's on but removal only takes about a minute once you have the mounting brackets on the car. I think it's cool that you can use it with the top down.by Boxsterra - Main Forum

The Tesla 'ring time is quite impressive, even for a prototype. What about this has or will make them look bad? Porsche will have to work hard to beat the time with the Taycan. QuoteYou quoted "The German automaker has taken the high road by not even acknowledging the idea of a performance competition with Tesla" This is just plain false. In fact, quite the opposite is true. Porsche's responseby Boxsterra - Main Forum
Any person or company can bring their car to the track. Tesla and Porsche have a healthy back-and-forth banter going and the discussion is good for the community. Both companies have praised the others' efforts. The tone of the article is that Telsa doesn't make "that kind of car" so therefore they should not be trying to compete. Accomplishments at the 'ring are measured in minutes and seconds.by Boxsterra - Main Forum

The article only says that it's Turkish. Those two statements are not the same.by Boxsterra - Main Forum
The article seems to be conflating Turkic and Turkish. It would be good if the press was more consistent about pronouncing it "tie-kahn", as Porsche says it should be.by Boxsterra - Main Forum
Unofficially the powertrain they were using is one that they are planning to offer customers. Regardless, it is impressive for (even a race-prepped) Tesla Sedan to do even 1 lap of the ring in about the same time as a 2017 Porsche 911 GT3. That is a good time, even compared to ICE cars.by Boxsterra - Main Forum
