It is zip tied right now as insurance against poping off again, got me through last autocross with no incidents Zip ties rock I looked at it up close today and agree it looks like a new cable is in order. I don't mind having it like this at autocross but will fix it before Mont Tremblont next month, don't think I need that kind of excitment at 120 Thanksby Ollie - Main Forum
The Cup seperated from the ball on the shift selector at the transmission... I was able to pop it back on but came off again. Time for a new one. Both times happened under hard shifting at Autocross. Question is can I buy a seperate piece like at the front of the cable (I have replaced that once, cheap plastic/nylon cup that wears out) or do I have to buy the entire cable? Passport required and a special car insurance card that is yellow in color. I go into Cambridge Ontario for business once a month. After a while they don't like me coming across the border for business so much so try to find ways to hassel folks. One is to ask for your proof of insurance. Unreal as Canada will not accept normal insurance card- has to be yellow special card and I could not get thiby Ollie - Main Forum

I've adjusted the shifter linkage, made sure all is smooth and everything is seated properly. The notchy 2nd gear shifting I have experienced is releated to hard driving which results in elevated temps. I have not noticed this with any other gears, just 2nd. When I got away from the Porsche Tranny fluid it was noticably better...and like I said, because how hard I drive this car I change the fluby Ollie - Main Forum
Basically with Porsche tranny oil I have always had a notchy 1st to 2nd shift- especially when really beating on the car (20 + Autocross and upwards of 12-15 track days a year) and get it good and hot... I changed to Mobil1 several years ago and much better shifting when real hot- no noticable difference at normal operating conditions or cold. I am completely moving away from Mobil1, mostly justby Ollie - Main Forum
