Sorry to hear that Roger. Your comments regarding your Boxster are so right on - that was one of the best looking Boxsters around. What a loss, but I'm sure you are already browsing the web for a suitable replacement and with some patience you will find a replacement very soon. In prior conversations you mentioned that this barn was quite large. How many cars do you estimate were destroyed in thaby richard986pei - Main Forum

Here is my story why I got a Boxster, titled “Blame the Wife”. Many of you dreamed of eventually owning a Porsche. I always appreciated Porsches and really valued the shape and body contours of most Porsches but I always thought that a car like that is out of my reach until………..I seen the first pictures of the Boxster Prototype. Wow, what a sexy beast. After these early pictures I startby richard986pei - Main Forum
As usual great pics Guenter. Wish I would have opportunities like these here on the Island. Unfortunately my fun run involves maximum 2 cars and one of them is a corvette. Counting the days for BRBS 2015.by richard986pei - Main Forum
I was in Niagara the last 4 days (without the Boxster) and WOW what a nice warm weather. Perfect for top down driving and I also noticed - no potholes. Yesterday I came back to PEI and what a surprise I had to take my winter coat out again - I don't think we will get a warm summer this year - good that I signed up for BRBS and that is just around the corner.by richard986pei - Main Forum
take a look at that roundabout - very confusing. Roundabouts within a large roundabout - crazy. Here on PEI most drivers can't handle a simple 2 lane rotary. I experienced drivers stopping in the middle of the rotary to let other drivers in - came close to trash my boxster a couple of times.by richard986pei - Main Forum

please count me in - will keep my 986 as long as I can. not worried all too much regarding the IMS but any solution to prevent the possibility of failure I would consider. cheers Richardby richard986pei - Main Forum
Great car & great trip - life is good!! - fantastic pictures with the silver Boxster and the gray-silver clouds in the background.by richard986pei - Main Forum
in my opinion the Boxster designers dropped the ball completely by ignoring the fact that many potential Boxster buyers are golfers as well. Arguably loosing a large percentage of new buyers.by richard986pei - Main Forum
The alternator in my 03 S has to be replaced. The Boxster is sitting in the garage of the INDY who will do the repair - btw. the Porsche dealership is 300km away. Could anyone of you send me some details - with pictures or video clips- of how to do it. This mechanic is very good, deals with many German Cars but I just would like to make sure that no unnecessary steps are made to replace the alterby richard986pei - Main Forum

Thank you Guenter. Awesome pictures. You and the rest of the gang must have had a great time, lots of fun - with excellent driving involved. Cheers!by richard986pei - Main Forum
We will definitely make it next year and we are looking already forward to it, BUT first I would like to see some of the pictures all of you took. Bring it on, don't leave the non-participants hanging and begging for eye candy!!!!!by richard986pei - Main Forum
cool picks Roger. Your "friends" radar detector must not have worked again!by richard986pei - Main Forum
Fantastic Guenter, Congratulations on your new dream car. Perfect colour and awesome looking rims - what a sexy beast!!!by richard986pei - Main Forum
Indeed Guenter - beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I always say, don't mess with the lines of beautiful cars such as 911's and Boxsters - the lines are way to sexy to mess them up with any design or add on.by richard986pei - Main Forum
On my trip to Germany in October I came across this old Boxster - photo does not do justice to the awesome paint job In Austria - full size 911 out of concrete- the artist made several of them according to my brother what a little bit of wax will do - like a mirrorby richard986pei - Main Forum
looks sharp Roger, finally thick enough to get a perfect grip when racing through round abouts!by richard986pei - Main Forum
just received the second pair (rear) of sumitomos HTRZ3. The front are still good for another 2 years. I'm was very happy with the first set and therefore ordered them again. The price went up slightly but still affordable. Good average tires for daily driving.by richard986pei - Main Forum
Since you are writing about service prices I must ask this question. I have on my 2003S 54000 km on it, so I called my Porsche dealership to find out what kind of service is coming up. He told me that the next big service would be the 60K and would cost around 700.00 C$ which would include change of the spark-plugs. Question: what are the consensus from the board members, should I do that serviceby richard986pei - Main Forum
Glad that you enjoyed Charlottetown - it is a very nice city, big enough to live in (things to do) and small enough to feel at ease. I have lived in larger cities such as Toronto and Zurich; all of them have their own unique trademarks but at the end of the day you can still feel the hectic environment which surrounds you. Now I call Charlottetown home - but several times a year I take the opportby richard986pei - Main Forum
You know your way around here on PEI. You are very close with the area you have mentioned - the lobster traps are certainly in North Rustico. The owner of the place I store my car over the winter always likes to store all the boats and cars this time of the year and since I don't have a garage at my house I don't have much choice. But as Tino suggested and you mentioned, to put another 4-5 weeksby richard986pei - Main Forum
I'm following this forum daily and I thought it's time to post some pictures with the helpful advise from Guenter, aka the CURVEN8R. These pictures are taken on Prince Edward Island's North Shore on a sunny 22 degree Celsius day. Unfortunately this was my last run of the season - the next day she had to be put away - hibernation for the winter season. Looking already forwards to the spring -can'tby richard986pei - Main Forum
I deliver cakes and wedding cakes all the time with my Boxster - for very short trips I will put them in the rear trunk but for longer travel times only the front will do and only if the outside temperature is not too warm. Did not have any problems yet.by richard986pei - Main Forum
You will miss the Porsche rally in Halifax this year again. It is scheduled for June 5th. But I'm sure you will have a hell of a time south of the border. cheersby richard986pei - Main Forum
how could you let your baby sit there naked - at least put a cover on Have fun on your trip - CAA is good but hopefully you don't need it. happy boxsteringby richard986pei - Main Forum
