QuoteJeff (Philly) Hey Rev have you been in touch with some of the other guys? I Nobody is in touch with Rev Dennis ever since he got his 2008 Shelby GT. They just don't want to be seen with American j***. Can't blame them, right?by Harvey in FL - Main Forum

QuoteBobtesa ...Unless I can figure out how to afford a new Targa. I'd go for that in heart beat. You can't take your $$ with you. I was really thinking of getting the 991 GT3; but, what am I ever going to do with 400 or so hp. I am having so much fun doing track time at my controlled speed, why would I ever want to go lots faster and risk my life. Yes, I could get lessons from a pro; but, whby Harvey in FL - Main Forum
The 991 C2 is a better touring car. If you have never driven the 911, it is not the same as the Boxster or Cayman. Going from a Boxster to the 997 in '08, it took me a while to get used to the 997. The Cayman S is a better track car. For the options I wanted, the 991 C2 would cost about $15k - $20k more than the Cayman S . If you are getting the 18 way seats in the GTS, they weigh about 30 lbsby Harvey in FL - Main Forum
QuoteVan914 Is this the old Collier Collection? Yes, this is the Collier Collection. The Revs Institute is the name of the not-for-profit organization which represents the the Collier Collection.by Harvey in FL - Main Forum
This past weekend our local Porsche club visited the The Revs Institute, Naples, FL. It has an outstanding collection of 114 cars and including about twenty Porsche’s. Most of the collection are rare sports cars. One of the most famous is the 1953 Porsche 550 Coupe #1. The museum was not open to the public until now. The days are Tues, Thurs and Saturday, 10am -4pm. I highly recommend doingby Harvey in FL - Main Forum
much better PFC brakes. I drove my friends 2012 Cayman S last weekend for about 30 minutes. The brake feel was really soft and mushy. My 997 has a much better feel. I did some research and I need to replace the brake master cylinder (boost 5.0) with the one in the GT3 (boost 3.5). GT3 brake ducks will help. Also need to put larger oil cooler in from 911 and baffling in the oil pan. So, if anby Harvey in FL - Main Forum
Quotegrant I would also write PCNA and ask whether a CPO car has its clutch checked. You have a right to expect a fiarly thorough examination given the additional cost. I have an older CPO inspection checklist form (8/2006) which states the road test will include "clutch pedal action", pass or fail check mark required.by Harvey in FL - Main Forum

QuoteBobtesa I'd only suggest one other thing - weight. Harvey, are you going to keep your 911? if so and you are still in PCA, then why not think about a different car? Lotus at 1,900 pounds? (Is this sacrilegious on the board?) In the few DEs I was in there were some non-Porsches. I think this is allowed if you have more than one car. Thanks for your comments. I must agree with what youby Harvey in FL - Main Forum
QuoteGuenter in Ontario Harvey had this guy sitting on his shoulder while playing with the configurator. /quote] Actually, he configured the car for me and guaranteed it would be faster than a 991 C2 and I had to pay him an hour's labor. Not really. I am getting much better with heal and toe (H&T) in my 911; but, I got a ride in an instructor's 911 with PDK and was amazed as the tranny shby Harvey in FL - Main Forum
I have spent a great time driving my 911, so in order to become faster around Sebring (per Pedro), I am building a new Cayman S. As soon as the dealer get an allocation, I will be ordering a car. My go fast option are: Porsche Torque Vectoring (PTV), Poppelkupplung (PDK), Sport Chrono Package, Sport Suspension, Sport Seats Plus, and Sport Design Steering Wheel. BTW: This will be my veryby Harvey in FL - Main Forum
QuotePedro (Weston, FL) The Boxster is faster around the turns but if you start to loose it, it's much harder to recover than with the 911. Pedro Can you explain "harder to recover than a 911"? Thanksby Harvey in FL - Main Forum
to see if there are any other reported similar problems? Also, you should file a complaint with them. Good luckby Harvey in FL - Main Forum

studded show tires....the roads deteriated rappidly. Quoteeicheldp I remember driving with chains when I was younger. I also remember people coming into the garage after they threw a link and the chain beat a hole into the wheel well or the quarter panel.by Harvey in FL - Main Forum

I was able to find the Sebro slotted roters. These were recommended by indy tech. The cheapest place was Amazon. One lendor for the fronts ($240) and another for the rears ($228). I have used them only one time at Sebring and can't tell you how well they are over a long period. Good luckby Harvey in FL - Main Forum
I had a 2000 a long time ago. I have nine docs which I collected from PPBB to install my ipod. If you are interested PM me and I will be glad to send them directly to you. They are all Word files and if you want I can make them PDF's.by Harvey in FL - Main Forum
