Looks like Taycan headlights. Still seems to be lots of cooling ducts to keep the batteries from overheating and catching fire. Not certain of the rearend.by db997S - Main Forum
Hope he has one to drive because these cars are meant to be driven. Only reason my car doesn't have more miles is because I live exactly 4 miles from my garage to my garage at work. Wife would kill me if we moved further out just so my drive would be longer!by db997S - Main Forum
Headlight issue (screws loose?): Porsche Recallby db997S - Main Forum
Nice read. When we were kids, we played street hocky, kick the can, baseball, etc., all in the street. Still remember the sky blue (not exact name) TR 6 that would drive past, of course, after every kid playing yelled "Caaaarrrrrr." Used to watch it until I could no longer see it. Neighbor's relative had a Kermmett the Frog colored 914 4. Used to drool over it even though older kids dissed iby db997S - Main Forum
It used to be that young kids in their hopped up Civics who pulled up next to me at a light and then race off on green like it was a drag race. Lately, i've noticed that it is middle-aged men in their Teslas. Happened this morning on the way to the office. He's probably on a Tesla Board right now braggin how he smoked a Porsche this morning at a traffic light. Me, it was a commercial districtby db997S - Main Forum
Doesn't happen all the time, but many times when I start my car, it literally seems to roar to life, almost explodes with power. Happened today at lunch when I was parked in an alley between some tall buildings with the top down. Always wondered what people at work think when it happens in our underground grage. In my grage at home, if I idle a bit after start up, it seems to spit and snarl.by db997S - Main Forum

Wonder how much drag that thing adds? Do aftermarket sellers (body kits and spoilers/wings) ever wind tunnel their designs?by db997S - Main Forum

I've been toying with getting a new Porsche and contacted two local dealers (DC area) by email/online forms. Neither has gotten back to me. Now, it could be because I'm looking at getting a Panamera E-hybrid before Porsche stops making them in 2024. Possible that it is the new excuse for everything: supply chain issues. Regardless, you'd think they'd get back to either keep a fish on the linby db997S - Main Forum

In Canada, what's the minimun miles to be considered "previously owned" (aka, used)? That could be how the do a dealer markup if it is nolonger considered new. In the US, i do not believe it is based on miles, but rather based on title and whether the car was register to another owner prior to your purchase.by db997S - Main Forum
Some insurance company(ies) is/are crying deeply--$500 million in cars and $25 million in boat. With that kind of cash at risk, this thing will be in litigation for years. Ship's and VW's insurers won't want to pay while VW and ship company will want to get paid. VW will get sued blaming batteries cause it and made it worse, VW will sue its insureance for payment and the battery maker's insuraby db997S - Main Forum
It appears that the hybrids and EVs on board the ship are keeping the blaze going as the batteries overheat and burst into flames. Could be urban ledgend, but saw something online, so it must be true, right?!by db997S - Main Forum
I'm old enought to remember the oil embargo in the 70s as a young driver and only being able to fill up on odd or even days based on the last number or letter of the plate. Even still, waiting 10-12 cars deep. Back then, all cars were gas guzzlers, so you had to plan in advance when out crusing on the weekends, particularly if you had an even number plate and the weekend was Friday, July 31 andby db997S - Main Forum

Porsche took a Taycan from NYC to LA and spent only 2 1/2 hours charging at a cost of $76.by db997S - Main Forum
Been driving my PDK since 2009. About 99% of the time it is manual mode. Took it on the track once, and the auto mode must have known where I was because it performed amazingly. You could concentrate on driving. Mine is a daily driver and in auto mode, it seems to always be in too high of a gear (aka, low of RPM) for my liking since I tend to drive like a NYC taxi driver (old enough demographby db997S - Main Forum
