price was very good, and of course feel awesome after changing out the near slicks I had on. Not a lot of test time, but so far so good. When I inquired about getting the Hankooks, the shop that did my AOS, and put the tires on, did a, " oh yeah, those are good tires". They replaced Kumhos which were fine with grip, but didn't seem to last that long, even in the front. Roll Tide ! Clamby Clam - Main Forum

45 min of highway speeds has me a little worried. Just need to price it out. Curious, which would be cheaper , if either: Use a company where the shop is , or use someone I know from my city to take it up there. Thanks again. Clamby Clam - Main Forum
Yours was not smoking that bad on acceleration. Plus, I could rarely get close enough to you to have any effects from it Never forget that first mountain drive with you guys. Glad I have video of my wife screaming through the curves on that one, and appreciate y'all including us. Anybody getting together anymore that you know of? Thanks for reply. Clamby Clam - Main Forum

Hey guys. I'm getting the puff of smoke on start-up and acceleration, along with a rough idle, so I believe my AOS is going after turning 80k just a week or so ago on my 2000 Boxster. 2 questions. 1. I have to drive about 50 miles (mostly interstate) to the repair shop. Do I run the risk of further damage? Mechanic gave me the politically correct answer and said it was up to me, but thatby Clam - Main Forum
what's the word in Austin for the F1 race there?? Looks like hotels are charging crazy prices. Also heard that there is only 1 way in/out where the track is, and traffic may be insane. Have you heard anything? Clamby Clam - Main Forum
Might be a rainy day here, and I can tackle this one today. Mine has been very sensitive for a while, and finally the other day while at work, while sitting in the hot sun, the horn just started going off. Had to put a little piece of paper in there to stop it. Thanks for the info. Clamby Clam - Main Forum
After getting back in to town from an hour long interstate drive, I went straight to Walmart to get some flowers. Came out of the store and turned the key, and it tried, very weakly, to start. Thought it might be ignition gremlins, as everything was fine previously. After a while just a click, and no engagement. Pulled up Mike Focke's site (Thanks Mike) for list of batteries, and went back iby Clam - Main Forum
the roads were fine there. I drove a Ford Escape and it was good for hauling beach gear to and fro. Been there 2 times, and have never seen a Porsche. Don't think I'd want mine as a daily driver if I lived in such an environment. They also drive on the wrong side of the road in St. Croix. Clamby Clam - Main Forum

Thanks for the replies. To set me straighter, ....y'all are in agreement on the front strut support?? Not something I would replace myself, so any recommendations of what to ask for / do when going to my shop for repair? PS. I'll post some pics from the tournament that my wife's tennis team is in, if we get more helpful advice And to be more specific, some pics of the waitresses from theby Clam - Main Forum
Hey guys and girls, At the beach, and need some help. Pulling into parking place today, and noticed a strange noise. Going very slow, or even at a stand still, when I turn the steering wheel, I'm hearing what sounds like a belt stretching / rubbing, with some vibration, that seems to be coming from the front right wheel. Noise can clearly be heard in the cabin, almost like its just forward oby Clam - Main Forum
