I can only relate what I saw. However, it could have been because the engine wasn't warmed up before I asked for the oil check. When I take it out Saturday, I'll let it warm up, then check the oil level and see if it is done faster.by KevinR-MedinaOhio - Main Forum
Basically, I noticed that the last time the oil was changed was last July and I wanted it changed at the dealer's expense during their inspection. He said it was not necessary unless 10k miles or one year had elapsed, per the Porsche maintenance schedule. I plan to take it to an indie and get it done next week. So my choices of oil are Mobil 1 and? And what weight do you all recommend? It willby KevinR-MedinaOhio - Main Forum
I figured out how to check the oil. It is a menu selection on the dashboard and works once the engine is at operating temperature. There is a countdown timer displayed while it looks at the oil, and the timer took 45- seconds for me when I asked it. I got the owner manuals today but haven't gotten had a chance to look at them. Nope, although I offered. I also told her that she could drive it to work *once* if she started. The caveat was that if anything happened to it in the parking lot, not only would I execute her, but also anyone parked within 5-spots of the car.by KevinR-MedinaOhio - Main Forum
Beechwood Porsche finished installing the bra Monday evening and I picked it up for the after dark, 1/2 hour drive home. The Xenon headlights are very bright and have a wide field, which is good as we have LOTS of deer in the area I live in. Yesterday, the little woman took a half day off work and we went for a drive. Thanx for the suggestions. I just ordered P21S and the Slime kit from Amazon. I also went to the ProClip site and looked at their excellent iPhone mount. Once I get the car home tonite, I'll decide where I want to mount it and get one ordered.by KevinR-MedinaOhio - Main Forum

I currently am working till 2p each day w/ Wed-Thur off. Also, I have been using Zainos on my other cars for a couple years and will be spending Tue & Wed polishing this car w/ it. Quote5. I plan on mating my iPhone to the PCM 3.1. Can anyone recommend a good car holder (powered or unpowered) for the phone? Does car have OEM iPhone integration (can't remember is std in '09)? For mount, look into something called Pro-clip. I see you also have XM radio. Yes, PCM 3.1 comes w/ Bluetooth phone integration. I synched my phone once to try it out. Tomorrow I take possession of an '09S (my first Porsche) w/ 11500-miles. I've been a member of PPBB and now this board in anticipation of getting a Boxster, and the stars have finally aligned so that the purchase can be made. The car is getting a clear bra installed and I will begin Boxstering after work. I was at the Cleveland Auto Show a couple years ago and got a business card from a company in one of the suburbs that offered color-matched bras. I have since lost the card. Is anyone here familiar with the company?by KevinR-MedinaOhio - Main Forum

Quote...otherwise you risk "brandishing" issues I'd argue concealing a gun in such a holster below the doorsill of you car and not in general view of the public is not "brandishing". Quote One can carry in a car without a concealed carry permit. BUT...it has to be "concealed" . Unfortunately, this doesn't appear to be hidden enough to qualify. It looks to me like you could see it just by looking in the window. Not a problem, like most laws, unless you're caught. Not a bad idea. It is more comfortable than wearing it. Caveats: 1. The holster needs to be secure enough so the gun can't fall out when jarred by rough roads. 2. Don't leave it there if the car is unattended or if kids are in it w/o you. 3. The holster needs to stay in-place when drawing the gun. 4. Make sure the gun is a major caliber (.40 or better). 5.
