"If the warning light flashes, there has been a system fault.
There will then be no reserve warning.

>To remedy the fault, go to an authorized Porsche dealer."

From the Owner's Manual:

If the level gauge warning light flashes,

there has been a system fault. Additionally, a warning is displayed in the on-board computer. There will then be no reserve warning.

To remedy the fault, go to an authorized Porsche dealer.

It looks like you'll at least have to have a PST2/PIWIS/Durametric check for a code.
