Light bar installation
bnordin007 - Monday, 11 June, 2012, at 7:06:02 pm
Pedro,
I installed the light bar using an ample amount of glue stick. One became detached today. Is there a more secure way to install these lights. I am still a little upset about you taking a shower with Mimi at BRBS :-)

There are several grades of hot glue.
I use Industrial Grade which is the most aggressive.
It's also a good idea to first wipe both (plastic) surfaces with acetone to promote adhesion.
You can also score (scratch) the surfaces to give the glue a better chance to adhere.
Finally you can glue several strips of plastic transversally to the back of the assembly to strengthen the bond.
Hope these tips help.
I wish I would have recollection of all of the things I allegedly did at BRBS this year smiling smiley
Happy Boxstering

Thanks for the tips. I will give it a go. You did get around this year at BRBS and I am afraid that future trips will never be so good for you.
