Life is good for those of us lucky enough to be driving these cars.
Too much fun to stop for photos? *NM* Roger987 - Wednesday, 11 July, 2012, at 10:57:51 am |
I'm afraid so. ..I feel really bad. ...but it felt so good. *NM* Guenter in Ontario - Wednesday, 11 July, 2012, at 11:08:13 am |
IMHO, top down driving is best in the evening or at night db997S - Wednesday, 11 July, 2012, at 12:58:34 pm |

not sure why, but I always do enjoy it. It feels freer. Or, maybe it feels more isolated, yet open, than in a flashy car during the day where all the world can see you. At night time, it all is headlights and tail lights
No baking sun, and there's something magical about daybreak and the gloaming time. *NM* Laz - Wednesday, 11 July, 2012, at 2:30:38 pm |

You could turn the heat on high or heaven forbid, put the top up, and still have fun *NM* Gary in SoFL - Thursday, 12 July, 2012, at 7:43:52 am |

Have yet to drive it top up, and it's garaged, so topless there, too! *NM* Laz - Thursday, 12 July, 2012, at 11:11:10 am |
So what..... Gary in SoFL - Thursday, 12 July, 2012, at 11:54:43 am |
I still have to go get that pack of gum that's in a store 50 miles away! *NM* Laz - Thursday, 12 July, 2012, at 1:59:33 pm |
I don't chew gum, but something about that store makes me want to go there and pick some up anyway. *NM* Guenter in Ontario - Thursday, 12 July, 2012, at 2:31:39 pm |
Why? There isn't one 100 miles away? *NM* mikefocke, '01S Sanford, NC - Thursday, 12 July, 2012, at 4:27:16 pm |
That store may only be 50 miles from Laz, but probably more like 400 miles for me. *NM* Guenter in Ontario - Thursday, 12 July, 2012, at 6:59:20 pm |

On the way back, it was even better. Left the dealer shortly after 8 and the four of us took some of the back road twisties back home, with the sun setting on the horizon. Just what our cars are built for. Love the sound of that Symphony in Flat Six rising and falling at the direction of the right foot conductor's wand, downshift, into the corner, power out and accelerate, upshift, enjoying the fresh air.

Guenther,
There must have been something in the drink they served u at the social.... I beg to differ, there are no backroad twisties between KW and the GTA..... There might be a mild change in direction every once in a while... but that's it.... twisties implies more than 2 corners....
