Following my recent engine transplant, one of the very few remaining problems is that the radio doesn't work and that the clock works only intermittently. I'm taking it in to my guy this week for this and to have the wheels rebalanced. Does this sound like a fuse problem?

1. intermittent generally does not map to a fuse. They are either gone or good.
2. you can easily check if the radio fuse is good - look up the number on the paper isnide the fuse cover, pull it, and look at it. broken element or no?

Did the radio stop working at the time of transplant? If so, there's your culprit. Does it light up? Dead as doornail? Maybe forgot to plug it back in?

For the radio, if the fuse is the problem, the fuse is behind the radio itself (to get to it, you have to pull out the radio). Mine blew once after my battery died and I had to put a jumper cable to my fuse panel to pop open my front trunk to get to the battery. It ended up popping the fuse behind the radio too. I'm not sure about what is causing your problem with the intermittent clock.
