I probably still have cable lube somewhere for when I get a 246 Dino or something like that.by Laz - Main Forum
As the fronts will have a much greater tread depth than the rears, you might get a false sense of security in the rain. The steering response might feel fine, but the rears could snap.by Laz - Main Forum
Consider BMW's i-Whatchyamacallit, and the original CD sonic quality: "Perfect Sound Forever" my a__. Also, I'm not sure, but I think Robert Pirsig addressed the issue in Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance. (Probably my "desert island" book.)by Laz - Main Forum

although I'm sure I've at least put as much as the original retail price into it for maintenance and repair since 88. $13,500, maybe. At the time I had the dealer do it, I was the only one to have the sunroof mechanism rebuilt, for one thing. I also sensed a burring of sorts from the transmission and opted for having it rebuilt by the dealer rather than going for a much less expensive junker. Theby Laz - Main Forum

There had to be a time where domestic vs. import quality was close to parity without people realizing it. By the way, did you ever read Animal House*? What comes to mind is at the end (I think) when the farmer and animals are all playing cards together. *Doh!by Laz - Main Forum

Years ago, when I'd see a "Buy American" sign or bumper sticker, I'd always think, "Build American," like we did in WWII, then I'll consider buying American. Our manufacturing quality is on an upswing, and some of us here know that much of the finest audio equipment in the world is Made in USA. On the lighter side, there's this:by Laz - Main Forum

the poster says it's a 987. Aren't they all spare-less, therefore no tire bag supplied? Edit: Especially if it's tires only, there are no hard or sharp protrusions to do much of anything to the interior. As far as rub marks, one can just be sure there are no tears already in the bag where it would contact interior surfaces.by Laz - Main Forum

I'm not sure about lawn & leaf sized bags, but contractor sized ones might just work, and be less bulky than blankets. Wherever you're getting the new ones from might have tire-specific bags, too. Does the vendor do mounting? How about changing right then and there, leaving the old ones behind?by Laz - Main Forum
