QuoteGuenter in Ontario Did you offer to take it out to get the tires warmed up for his next drive? Cool. Very cool. That garage must make your eyes dry, not wanting to blink while you're in there. It was clearly a case of 'kid in a candy shop' and real appreciation for how much of a genuine car guy Jay is. An amazingly eclectic collection. It was a fun drive and highly informative tour. And you are absolutely correct, no burnouts allowed except from the jets on the airstripby jwdbox - Main Forum
Today the LVPCA was fortunate enough to be able to see the home of the Thunderbirds and their museum at Nellis Air Force base outside of Las Vegas. We left from Cars and Coffee with about a dozen Porsches and a few other vehicles. Enroute, seeing “double” GT3s closing in on me some more tail… Their logo with a better shine than our Porsches (they wax it twice a day!) and one of tby jwdbox - Main Forum

new marking department and faster mail delivery Ed . See my post a week ago at Mouse Pad QuoteEd from Long Island I received a letter from Porsche, telling me of the advantages of trading in my Boxster for a new model. along with a mousepad with a picture of a base Cayman, Boxster, and Carrera . In the product description they've got the Cayman & Boxster as having rear -mounted engines!by jwdbox - Main Forum

QuoteGuenter in Ontario True, that will be one of the options, but don't forget it will (unlike the Volt) have a nifty external sound system playing the Porsche symphony in flat 6 for the pleasure of the E-Boxster owner and surrounding pedestrians from what I read just yesterday. I'll want mine flashed to have the PSE optional sound. Good thought Guenter, but I am going to hold out for the 9by jwdbox - Main Forum

Just received a letter from Detlev von Platen, Pres and CEO of PCNA encouraging me to come in and trade SilverBox in for a new Porsche. The package included a nice mouse pad with pictures of a Caymen, 911 Carrera and Boxster along with sheet (printed on thick stock) detailing the engines, horsepower, displacement, etc. of the new Porsches. Interestingly under the engines it mentions the Direcby jwdbox - Main Forum
The back trunk in the 987 gets pretty warm and I would not put a cake back there unless you are able to insulate it well. The front should be fine unless it is a very large sheet cake which would probably not fit.by jwdbox - Main Forum
On today's drive in Yosemite en route to Glacier Point the drive was phenomenal: Spectacular views and tons of twisties. We were very lucky with light traffic. Started on the western side and the road surface was in very good condition as compared to the eastern side which was older and with some frost/pot holes. One had to take care particularly in the sharp curves for fallen rocks. Here isby jwdbox - Main Forum
My son purchased a set of BRIDJIT 3 Piece Curb Ramp Set for his house in Seattle. It has a steep driveway meeting the street. The ramps work very well. They stay in place without having to be attached, allow for water and debris to flow. I think he got his from the manufacturer directly but I just checked and they are listed at Amazon and AutoSport.by jwdbox - Main Forum
QuoteTechjockey Sounds like you are doing our Napa trip in reverse as we live in Seattle. Be sure to catch some highway 1 in both California and Oregon if you have time. HWY 1 North of Fort Bragg has EPIC curves and views! You should also consider the road from Crater Lake West back towards Highway 5 if you are headed on the Eastern path. Thanks Marc. We did take extra care when we went out to some of the wineries today, after our golf game at Silverado in the continuous downpour For some strange reason we were the only ones on the course . Had to get some more Heitz Cellar Bella Oaks. Also ran across a group of 'Rodders' doing their own multi-winery tour and one fairly new 911 and one hard top Boxster.by jwdbox - Main Forum
As part of an extended West Coast drive including visiting our son in Seattle, taking in the awe inspiring scenery (Federal and State Parks), golfing and enjoying the varieties of primarily great seafood, in our drive today in from Oregon to Napa California, I was amazed at how many police we encountered with live radar and pulling people over along the entire run.
