Not sure if I got the right battery or not. I went to the Boxster and took a pic of the battery with the specs. Calling around, no one knew what i was talking about. The guy told me the one I purchased had more amps than I needed and will work in the Boxster. He didn't understand about resetting. ...... I bought the battery and went to the car, could not get the hood open. Earlier in the dby Joanne in OC - Main Forum
are still here!!!! I've seen others who have posted recently. Nice to see. For the past 4 years, I have been so busy with school and work, all my social activities went away. Haven't gotten back to BRBS, maybe next year. Would like to see the new venue. In a couple of years, I may even drive to it. How are you doing? Anything new and different? Thanks Pedro ...... I'm hoping it's just the battery, but still need my annual service and oil change. Taking your recommendation, I've been searching for batteries. Is this one the correct one? Thank you ..... I called the 3 places they listed on Friday morning. none have called me back, possibly due to the holiday weekend. That means I have let my car sit in the sun for 3 daysby Joanne in OC - Main Forum
Its been awhile since I have been on the board. I just moved to Las Vegas and am in need of someone quickly. I need oil change and service. But when I went to start the car after 4 months the battery was deader than dead. Called AAA, got it started but when I went to drive many alerts came up. Said the brake was on and it wasn't. Another was limited power steering, but could drive. I can'tby Joanne in OC - Main Forum
You're always welcome to come visit, but gotta make it quick. I'm moving in 2 weeks. But, I'll be back home in 6 or 7 years. It'll be a really big party then!!!!by Joanne in OC - Main Forum
yes, they did change the filter. I have no idea how much oil they put in, doesn't have the amount listed on the receipt Joanneby Joanne in OC - Main Forum
I use my china, crystal and silver for all the holidays. I like to have the formal place settings. My friends like it as well, keep having more people RSVP to dinner. On Easter, made prime rib for 16 with the formal setting. Here's my table setting. The center piece flowers are from my garden .... yes, I have the same set up.... I had checked that when the alert came on and it was less than the middle for the oil level. There is another that you click on which shows the pressure high. I'll take your suggestion and take it to the dealer to read the code. I had a well known independent do the oil change, I can ask him as well to check it. But, with my packing and moving, can't get theby Joanne in OC - Main Forum
I see all of that.... according to the gauge my oil pressure is ok. But the alert was still on. .... I think, if I remember correct, it was in the top section. My problem is that by the time I bring it to the dealer, the alert goes away. Not sure if that's good or bad, but very frustrating Joanneby Joanne in OC - Main Forum
In the past month, 2 times I have an alert that my oil pressure is too high. Both times it went away. The 1st time I was coming home, didn't drive far and it went off the next time I drove it. The 2nd time I was leaving my house, was going to drive a distance. A day later it was still on, didn't drive, A week later it was off..... The alert comes up when I start the car. Library didn't want them. I'm bringing them all my old textbooks and other books. .... YES, quite amazing how much stuff I have. Have alot of nursing/medical books from early 90s. Most are outdated, not even sure if the library can use them. Like you, I also tossed my tax returns back to 1970s. I think I kept back to 2010, even though I didn't need to keep them all. I agree about the storage space only temporary. I'm hoping to buy a place in LA while my house is leased. The rent for a 1 bdrm apt is more than my current mortgage. With a positive cash flow on my house and paying rent, I'll be eaten in taxes. This move is hopefully, for 6 months. Then most of my stuff will come back to me. Just not sure about the garage stuff at that time, but with a condby Joanne in OC - Main Forum

I have some major changes in my live ..... all good ...... 1 of which is that I'm moving to Westwood (Los Angeles). As I'm pulling boxes from the attic, I have 4 boxes of Porsche magazines, including Christophorus. Is anyone interested in these? I hate to throw them out, but am having to move alot of stuff to storage and don't really have the space. Here's the latest update for me: 1. Iby Joanne in OC - Main Forum

Your story is horrendous ..... the feelings are very understandable. No one, but us, can truly understand the feelings of loss for our revered cars. When I was informed my car was totaled, I was devastated. I pleaded with the insurance company to no avail. No one could understand the tears. There were so many fond memories with my car. I got my notice this week... have to report in Jan. Seems I get called every year. A few years ago, I was selected for County and then 1 month later was selected for 2 weeks to report for Federal. Fortunately, at the time, I worked for the County and was paid for jury duty. A few years ago, I was picked for the jury (the only time) but had asked to delay because I was receiving an award on oby Joanne in OC - Main Forum

Never in my wildest dreams would I have thought I would be driving a Porsche, even less to get a 2nd. It's been a dream with many many memories. What's funny is that in the past month, I've had people from PPBB contact me after 10 years. In 1998, my daughter turned 18 years old. I thought I'd give myself a present since I made it through the teen years. I had been wanting a convertible. Hby Joanne in OC - Main Forum

So very sorry to hear of your loss. With both your parents passing so close, they are together again, comfortable and no longer suffering. It sounds like you were there for them during their time of need. .... They both have their final ride with you in the Boxster, enjoy your memories and the laughter of when they were with you. Praying for you and your family Joanneby Joanne in OC - Main Forum
I do have to say, I can't stop laughing. ..... So sorry for the dilemma but to see the videos, it's kinda cute Can you catch it? or trap it? and then bring it to another neighborhood? I've done that with ferrel cats. But, you may have to take it quite a long way from your house if it's as smart as you say, since it likes you so much it'll find it's way back home. Good Luck Joanneby Joanne in OC - Main Forum
It's very difficult to lose a parent, and to care for the other. Dementia makes it even more difficult. ...... It sounds like you are making good decisions, one at a time. Hang in there, remember to take care of your self and some time alone. You need to stay healthy to care for her. Patience and time will help heal. My thoughts and prayers are with you Joanneby Joanne in OC - Main Forum
