I just took a peek at it and it doesn't look active. Does anyone here use it? Should we start?by Crooster - Blue Ridge Boxster Summit (BRBS)
We are planning on a full week in the area. I just wish the Canadian dollar goes up a bit before then!by Crooster - Blue Ridge Boxster Summit (BRBS)
Lots of nice bespoke parts on that car. I bet Brad at Porsche of London could figure out what bits to order to retrofit the short shifter to your S.by Crooster - Main Forum
Don't worry - the others are snug in the garage...by Crooster - Main Forum
How about this one?by Crooster - Main Forum
Is it the 3 foot high railing around your deck Guenter?by Crooster - Main Forum
I love the concept of the Spyder but I'm not sure that I would want to fiddle with that roof! Example at about 4:15 in video below:by Crooster - Main Forum
On my track 944 Turbo, after every DE weekend. On my street cars (non Porsche) it's every other brake job, probably every 4 years on average but I will likely move to doing this every brake service since it's easy with my Motive bleeder. I haven't touched the brakes on my Boxster yet but I am planning to swap fluid every time I do any brake related service. I cannot recall ever getting a softby Crooster - Main Forum
I don't have any insight but I assume you have Wayne Dempsey's book? The website probably contains additional info.by Crooster - Main Forum
QuotePedro (Weston, FL) ... if you like the Tech Articles, let the Provinz Editor know. He will keep publishing them if he knows his readers want them. In this case the editor is a "she" and she races a 911 in vintage events! But I also enjoy your articles and will be sure to let HER know! ;-)by Crooster - Main Forum
I really miss Speedvision. Seems there should be a market for a motorsports channel that isn't Nascar. The early days of Speed were great!by Crooster - Main Forum
Finally! This bodes well for next year...by Crooster - Main Forum
Great idea for a thread Guenter! As a kid I had the usual 911 Turbo poster on the bedroom, unusually alongside of a poster of a BMW 2002tii! I can’t say I was a hardcore Porsche guy from the start but the track bug was definitely there and as a university graduation present almost pulled the trigger on a ’69 911. Sanity prevailed (at least I thought so at the time) and instead I picked up aby Crooster - Main Forum
Yeah - just watching the highlights on the iPad app. Perhaps a victory is in reach, which would be an awesome achievement in their first year back!by Crooster - Main Forum

Perhap they will offer a Boxster "Club Sport" or "Spyder" instead.by Crooster - Main Forum
I don't worry about heel and toe'ing - I look forward to it! I heel and toe all the time even on the street so it's burned into my subconscious now. I think if you are so distracted by having to downshift that you miss your turn-in you need more practice! I love my old 951 for track days - no abs even!by Crooster - Main Forum
Beautiful car! Congrats!by Crooster - Main Forum
For me there is an optimal appearance when relating wheel size to brake rotor size. I like the look when the rotors nicely fill the wheel. When the wheels make the rotors look tiny, that just sucks, especially on a Porsche.by Crooster - Main Forum
I would be interested to see how peak pressures on the track relate to measured pressures once you complete your cool down lap and make it thru the paddock to park and then check the pressures. Wondering if the pressure drops much from peak...by Crooster - Main Forum
Glad you figured it out. This is exactly what had happened to mine.by Crooster - Main Forum
Yes - it is possible to remove the mounting bracket without changing its adjustment. I recently had to replace my passenger side when the plastic around the metal bar cracked. The top brass coloured hex nuts (4 of them I think) need to be removed. Mine were really tight and did not want to budge but I was eventually able to remove all four. I do not remember having to loosen the 4 small hex toby Crooster - Main Forum
Insurance coverage for DE events is a grey area in Ontario. That's why my DE track beast is a car I'm willing to (hopefully) walk away from if it all goes awry.by Crooster - Main Forum
Also check that the connector on the mounting plate hasn't shifted out of position. Mine had and it made getting proper contact for the lamps impossible.by Crooster - Main Forum
My '86 944 has a manual rack. I did the conversion myself when I got tired of chasing PS leaks. You cannot beat it for road feel / feedback, but it is a workout in a parking lot.by Crooster - Main Forum
I agree with Pedro - the 718 sounds very appealing. Focus on the pure driving experience and dispense with the fluff (and weight!)by Crooster - Main Forum
It was indeed a great day. Guenter even managed to find some nice twisty roads in an area where I didn't expect any. The stops were nice planned and spaced and lunch was great. The final stop at ChocolateFX was the cherry on top (well actually a chocolate covered strawberry). Guenter and Michelle even arranged perfect Boxster weather. Couldn't have asked for more!by Crooster - Main Forum
