On the way to work this morning on I-285, I was changing lanes to the LEFT when all of a sudden this Dodge Stratos came from the right lane and hit me on the right front fender. Not happy about it - but I figured I could live with it since her insurance company would be paying. When I walk back to her car, she claims I moved into her lane - a flat-out LIE. Of course, the police have no way ofby Lawdevil & CURVN8R - Main Forum

That's great! I was right behind them when the pump let loose. I smelled some coolant and at first thought it might be me - then I saw the puff of smoke/steam coming from the rear of that beautiful yellow cab. Carlos really looked dejected. It is amazing how well he and Maria handled it the rest of the weekend! Inspired choice to name them King and Queen. If ever I have a big failure in hteby Lawdevil & CURVN8R - Blue Ridge Boxster Summit (BRBS)
I'm good with that! Thanks for the La Aurora. I'm saving it (in the Humidor) for a special occasion. I'll be sure to bring something special for you next time!by Lawdevil & CURVN8R - Blue Ridge Boxster Summit (BRBS)
The best BRBS ever - how is that possible? Karl, Nel, Ron, Pedro et al - you guys did an incredible job! Considering this was a different location, that was particularly impressive. Lets extend it to 5 days next year! mikeby Lawdevil & CURVN8R - Blue Ridge Boxster Summit (BRBS)

The cigarette lighter outlet uses a 7.5 amp fuse. I know because it blew when I tried to inflate a tire witht he supplied inflator that comes with the 987.by Lawdevil & CURVN8R - Main Forum
Thanks Pedro. I do keep an emergency tire repair kit - but with no air pump, it would not help. At least in metro-Atlanta, it was relatively painless and I was entitled to a new tire (under the tire & wheel policy I bought) anyway . mikeby Lawdevil & CURVN8R - Main Forum
Yesterday morning I went out to the Boxster, turned the key and saw the dreaded "flat tyre" message. Sure enough, a rather large nail was protruding from the right rear tire. My first thought was to try to pump it up with the air pump supplied by Porsche and see if it would hold air long enough to get me to a tire dealer. Unfortunately, the pump only worked for about 2 minutes before it stoppeby Lawdevil & CURVN8R - Main Forum
While an engine failure for any reason can be a disaster for the owner, this particular failure hopefully is an aberration as I have not heard of similar failures for later model Boxsters. Once upon a time, I was very involved with a number of automobile dealers (either as a service writer when I was younger or providing legal representation to dealers in later years) and no car is immune to sucby Lawdevil & CURVN8R - Main Forum
I looked at the story on P-9 - doesn't appear to be IMS failure but a bad cylinder casting. Unfortunate, but can happen with any car.by Lawdevil & CURVN8R - Main Forum
Maybe - if we are lucky - the 2007 "fix" on the engine by Porsche has reduced the IMS problem. Only time will tell. With 37,000 miles on my 2008, I hope so!by Lawdevil & CURVN8R - Main Forum

I am probably going to try to checkout the local trout fly fishing on Wednesday. I met the owner of a nearby fly shop (Rivers Edge) who said he would point me to some good local steams. Anyone interested in joining me? mikeby Lawdevil & CURVN8R - Blue Ridge Boxster Summit (BRBS)

It probably depends upont the manufacturer of the sunglasses and how they orient the lenses. I can read the instruments pretty well with my Action Optic polarized glasses. mikeby Lawdevil & CURVN8R - Main Forum
