... Was a one-off prototype based on the Miura and made to conform to FIA's racing appendix "J". Jota, as you know is the Spanish pronounciation of the letter J. As jg says, for the front suspension you don't need any special tools. Since you already have PSS9s just release the tension on the springs by lowering the adjustment rings. Then loosen the top end camber plates completely. Press down on the brake rotor and the whole assembly should drop. Replace the camber plates with the upper strut supports. The will fit the shock's shaft. Make sure you usby Pedro (Odessa, FL) - Main Forum
... I wanted to know the full story, so I investigated a bit. After WWII ended Signore Ferruccio Lamborghini returned home to Italy and started a small tractor manufacturing facility which he named after his family: Lamborghini and used a bull as his logo. Tractor sales grew which prompted Signore Lamborghini to build a larger plant in 1949 and then again to an even larger one in 1969. But by 196by Pedro (Odessa, FL) - Main Forum
... the article states: " ... the V-12 powered Italian supercar named for a famed Spanish fighting bull ..." The Murcielago is named after the bat (as in the flying rat type), not a famed Spanish fighting bull (which is the Miura). No one fact checks anymore? ... I'm making a recommendation not to buy a first of as I don't recommend to buy a '97 or an '09. If you look at those year's TSBs you'll see how much gets corrected. But if you have an '05 be happy. It's a great car! Make sure you take it in to have the TSBs done. Happy Boxstering, Pedroby Pedro (Odessa, FL) - Main Forum
... is air constriction at the throttle body and intake tee. I first developed the TechnoTorque to help move air in. On the e-gas models I had to go from a small diameter (less than 3"), curved tee to a straight large diameter (3.5") tee from the Carrera S with our air splitter (which is the TechnoTorque3) and a much larger TB (from 64 to 76 mm). ... the first production run of a new model will have issues and quirks that the factory corrects in subsequent runs. By the same token, the last run will have most issues resolved and in Porsche's case will have more power than the first run. I believe that the IMS bearing failures is about 5% in early 986s and diminishing as model years advance to less than 0.5% in the gen2. Happy Boxsterinby Pedro (Odessa, FL) - Main Forum
... I just found the cheapest ones. I had been searching for several weeks and they were all well over $2000. This past week I found them at Auto Parts Warehouse (through our Affiliates link) for $1,968.95 with free shipping, and PB got a small commission! So, I swapped out my M030s for the new baby blue coilovers. Another Boxster owner and PB member, BobW decided to also purchase a set, to be aby Pedro (Odessa, FL) - Main Forum

Quotelithium1330 Some owners (B&M and others) mentioned their shifters have more side-to-side play (compared with OE units). Have you guys experience this? In my experience it's completely the opposite. The B&M shifter feels "gated" whereas the OEM is much more sloppy. To me, it's one of the best driving improvements you can make in a Porsche with a relatively small investment. Happyby Pedro (Odessa, FL) - Parts for Sale
I stopped going to the 12 Hours a few years ago. It's a zoo. A ton of people means its hard to find a hotel room nearby. Y It's hard to move around and it's very restrictive. Because it's during Spring Break there are a bunch of rouddy kids which make everything less enjoyable. Now, if you want the contrary, consider PCA's 48 Hours at Sebring. The Code reader is that, a reader. The person using it has to be able to determine based on the symptoms and the data the reader gives whether a particular part is bad or not. Quotekentv1 a) Can I buy a cheap Code reader from Auto Zone, and where do I learn about the meaning of the Codes? b) If my CEL is on again--happens once a year--how do I access and check the MAF and Oxygen Sensors? ... I had always wondered why there was such a big discrepancy in pricing between what the dealer charges and what you can find a genuine Bosch (with the same Porsche part number) on the internet. I mean, for my car, part number 996.606.123.00, the MSRP is $611.96, but I can find it online for only $193.95! The Dealer sells it for 3 times more money! The auto locking doors can be programmed using a PSTII, PIWIS or Durametric unit, not by the user.
