QuoteBoxsterra The article seems to be conflating Turkic and Turkish. why do you say that? turkish is a turkic language, one of many. apparently there are 35 according to wikipedia.by frogster - Main Forum

i just thought of something else. if the boxster goes electric, it can't be called a BOXster since the name is a portmanteau of boxer and roadster. so will it be called a electster? rotster (rotor)? wattster? c'mon, let's give porsche a hand and think up some good names.by frogster - Main Forum
Quoteold timer while you still can... 993, THE most beautiful "911" ever. i lust over that car.by frogster - Main Forum
porsche has invented forced electrons induction. they just haven't told anyone. as the electrons leave the electric motors, they spin a rotor that is attached to another rotor that forces more incoming electrons into the motor thus providing more power. i'm surprised that all you gearheads hear didn't know that.by frogster - Main Forum

that post explains your user name!!! gorgeous pics of a gorgeous car. that color is absolutely stunning. those pics make me reminisce my years toodling around the alps in my boxster.by frogster - Main Forum
it even has the www.boxster.net URL which is now property of porsche. does that pre-date ppbb.com? what year is that from? that is quite the souvenir!by frogster - Main Forum
that photo host doesn't seem to allow to use their URL to post elsewhere. best to just use the "attach" function right here on pedro's board.by frogster - Main Forum

that's a milestone indeed. congratulations. my old boxster will be 20 next year. hard to believe it's been that long since i picked it up. when i left switzerland ten years ago, i sold it to a friend with 70k km. he still hasn't passed 100k km!!! the car is doing well and he still loves it. it still looks great too.by frogster - Main Forum
but i still wouldn't mind having one. 414 HP. IIRC my MY2000S had 252. that's quite a difference.by frogster - Main Forum
very cool! looks like a good color match too.by frogster - Main Forum

interesting stuff. a single seat sports car would be a tough sell. amazing how the 981 looks massive next to the 909!by frogster - Main Forum
this looks interesting but for the moment it's iOS only so no go for me. “The idea is not about collecting data or doing anything with the data. The idea is to let people meet,” Brinkmann said. “If you give the opportunity to choose the quickest route, the most challenging route or the most scenic route…there will always be people who opt for Option C. i agree with guenter 100%. there is so much more to driving than drag racing. i can't stand when i see articles or videos showing supercars drag racing. all that engineering just to go in a straight line for a few hundred feet? that is just dumb. and as far as 0 to 60 times being addicting, the problem with any addiction is that you need to keep feeding it with more. so where are we going next, tby frogster - Main Forum
Quoteoconnell Just turned 16,000 miles are you saying that your nearly 20 year-old boxster has 16k miles on it??? that's less than 800 miles per year!!! what's the matter, you don't like driving it?by frogster - Main Forum
the shark top device allowed for "one touch" operation but it didn't override the need to be stopped with the handbrake on as far as i can recall. those two hacks were done separately. yes, i did include the shark top but the guy who bought the car from me took it out after a while as it started to misbehave and operate the top on its own free will. this is all water under the bridge though as thby frogster - Main Forum
there's also an easy hack to bypass that switch. i did it to my boxster as well as bypassing the need to be stopped. i wanted to be able to operate my top at 100 MPH.by frogster - Main Forum
