...and a lot of nice memories. I've decided that I'll be buried in my '98...but that doesn't mean that i'm not also thinking hard on a late model flat 6.by SMILIN - Main Forum
Pedro's Garage to the rescue again, this time with replacing the spark plug tube O-rings. The boat plug trick works great. Thanks to Pedro's write ups, I had easy access to the torque value for the coil packs. I really appreciate all of the great info. Maybe I'll paint my calipers next...by SMILIN - Main Forum
it sprayed on just like paint. no added bulk like my, um, the fake hair stuff. I sprayed it on heavy too. After it was dry, the carpet felt a bit crispy. It softened up a bit with a light brushing, but still not as flexible as the untreated carpet.by SMILIN - Main Forum
I bought a carpeted plastic box for the rear shelf of my '98, to replace the faded, damaged, crappy looking bag that's been back there for 18 years. The box was in perfect condition, except the carpet was pretty badly faded (as expected/shown in the eBay photos). Well, have you heard of spray painting your carpet? I sure hadn't before this morning. I'm simply amazed at the results. I have noby SMILIN - Main Forum
i sold the mirrors...just never felt the benefit of "the bend" i've worn through the paint on the gear knob and the leather is pretty bad. might be time for a refresh i can't find my driver's side cupholder...part of the reason for the grand purge im in the midst of still have the touch up paint. shortly after i ordered it my car was smashed and repainted so i assumed that the touch up colorby SMILIN - Main Forum

I need more right leg room. please Porsche, dump that intrusive center console.by SMILIN - Main Forum
Replaced the frame the first two times. This time I'll try the gumpucky trick. I know I can fix the worn rubber spacers. Looking less forward to investigating my increased oil drips, low coolant level, check engine light and airbag light. But I've had the top down for the past month and simply love this car, so she will be fixed!by SMILIN - Main Forum

16 years ago, I paid more for my litronic retrofit headlight assemblies than I just paid for the Civic.by SMILIN - Main Forum
I bought a '99 Honda Civic with 260,000 miles. It's generally in great condition, but the headlights are dim. I polished the headlight assemblies with great results, but figured I'd get some new bright bulbs too. After buying the bulbs online, I was presented with other items I may like to buy. New 3rd-party headlight assemblies came up. Me, thinking to myself, "Nah, I don't need them, minby SMILIN - Main Forum

OMG, did my engine blow? CRAZY amount of white smoke! ...and... OMG I almost got killed by a gangsta because my horn inadvertently honked when I hit the brakes! ...and... OMG my car is dead...I can't even turn the ignition switch! ...and... OMG my trunk is full of coolant! But now, it's just, go to Pedro's Garage and look at the write up to remind you of the repair you did a few years agoby SMILIN - Main Forum
Thanks for the info. I'm happy to let it self-heal since I'm in the middle of replacing a seat belt buckle, clearing P0446, oil/filter change, flushing brakes and clutch. Then I'll catch my breath before addressing a slow oil drip (plug tube?). Haven't even drivin the darn car this yearby SMILIN - Main Forum
Thoughts on the seemingly illuminated squigglies to the right of the ones place on my odometer? The weird thing is that it seems to have gone away over the course of 4 hours of driving yesterday. At one point mid-drive i looked down and saw just one dot. by the time i pulled into my garage, it was gone. still gone this morning. maybe dust that is catching light from the side?by SMILIN - Main Forum

The short answer is that I became obsessed with the Boxster prototype. After months of searching the internet for every bit of info available (not much back then), I called my wife and said I was going to test drive the Boxster at lunch. She said to buy it. I don't argue with my wife. I grew up driving a Karmann Ghia. I remember riding in a friend's 911 SC in the mid 80's. I was surprised atby SMILIN - Main Forum
