I can hear you: "Do we need any bread honey? huh? do we? cause I can run up and go get a loaf of bread if we need any....how about milk? do we need milk?"by newt - Main Forum
I will appreciate the comments of anyone who has experience with Fabspeed exhaust. This is for a 2001 986 S. I am looking for a bit more sound and was thinking about installing the secondary Cat bypass pipes with stock muffler. Alternatively, I may install the secondary Cat bypass pipes with Fabspeed muffler. I know it is all subjective, but I don't want "obnoxious" noise, just more sound than stby newt - Main Forum
at least not in a practical amount, but the lead certainly will, never considered that. That explains why JWbox read "fill after warm from charging".....thanks allby newt - Main Forum
that may explain it. If I topped the water level off when it was not fully charged because my old charger wasn't working right, then I hook up the new charger ....that would explain it. Thanks.by newt - Main Forum
I pulled out of the garage today and when I returned I noticed battery acid drips all the way down the driveway. Each drip was about the size of a quarter and they were 2 feet apart or less. A small pool had formed under the battery area of the car. I tested with baking soda and it was acid for sure. I have a Bosch lead acid battery. Inspection of the battery compartment showed nothing out of ordby newt - Main Forum
Sadly, the Oak Tree was fatally damaged and had to be removed from the famous "Oak Tree" turn at VIR. That turn will never be the same....well the line will be the same but it just doesn't have the same feelby newt - Main Forum

Interesting. The comments at the bottom of the article are also interesting. Some feel that the "multi 21" order was given to slow Webber down with the purposful intention to allow Vettel the opportunity to pass. I'm not so jaded as that but who knows.by newt - Main Forum
sorry, been away for a couple of days. Eric G your question was answered perfectly by others. Webber dialed his car back as instructed to perserve tires and (almost) guarantee Red Bull a 1-2 finish, Vettel wanted the win, so passed Webber when Webber was dialed down and when instructed not to do so. He could easily have crashed them both out of the race. Vettel is an amazingly talented driver butby newt - Main Forum

No imminent IMS doom (at least I am no longer worried) ....now I can't wait to drive it again.....thanksby newt - Main Forum
I assume its aluminum. I feel a lot better that it is not steel, so not part of IMS, right? Is it "normal" to find tiny shards of aluminum and some aluminum dust in oil? To answer other questions above: I change the oil about every 3500 or 4000 miles, which also happens to be about once per year (unfortunately)... , when I get to drive the car, I drive it pretty vigorously, love to hear thatby newt - Main Forum
That looks like it. Pull the little rubber cover off and install drain tube. I believe the bleed nipple requires 11mm wrench. If you know anybody with really long, skinny arms you may want to hire them for this, especially if they have 2 elbows on one arm. The only way I can get to it is to lie on my back with head near the LR wheel and feet sticking out the right side of car in front of RR wheby newt - Main Forum
I drained my oil today and cut open the oil filter and inspected it, found a very small (3/32 " ) irregularly shaped piece of chromium looking metal . When the filter dried more, I checked again and there were about 15 or more shiny fragments on the paper, none were big enough to grab but were definately tiny metallic fragments embedded in the paper. They were smaller than tiny grains of sand, buby newt - Main Forum
I like the idea of keeping Big Brother at bay whenever possible, but at $350 per unit, it will take a lot of red light runnin' to break even on this investment.by newt - Main Forum
Can you post a wave file? I am looking for a bit more sound but not real loud, this may be it.by newt - Main Forum
