Looks like it still have those VW style parking lights. That was something I was hoping they would eliminate.by Jim 'n' SC - Main Forum
Sounds like fun. I would like to restore some of my old cars I used to drive. Don't have the time now.by Jim 'n' SC - Main Forum
Is there a limit to the size Porsche can put on their sports cars? I can't see getting any larger than 20". My first Boxster had 16", my second had 17" and now my third has 19".by Jim 'n' SC - Main Forum
Never could figure out why someone would pay more for a Cayman when you can have a Boxster for less money? Doesn't even have a sunroof.by Jim 'n' SC - Main Forum
The new issue of Car & Driver is out and they have a write up on the Boxster. They say "Porsche's best car is now it's entry- level one." I couldn't agree more. After five years of owning a Carrera coupe I was ready to for another drop top. Drove the new 991, but couldn't jsee buying it when I could have the better Boxster for $50,000 less. Except for the prestige of owning a 911, which I dby Jim 'n' SC - Main Forum
Were the cars manuel or PDK? Since I have a 981 I would like to drive one of those, but the web site says they will assign you a car. Will they work with you on that?by Jim 'n' SC - Main Forum
My dealer got me a free ride at the Porsche World Roadshow in Charlotte October 31st. Sounds like fun! Has anyone done this?by Jim 'n' SC - Main Forum
Nice pics. We took a drive into the NC mountains last weekend but the weather was not good for pics.by Jim 'n' SC - Main Forum
I never drive my Porsche when meeting with contractors for the same reason. Always drive my Toyota truck.by Jim 'n' SC - Main Forum
This was my first choice and was still available.by Jim 'n' SC - Main Forum
I went from owning 2 Boxster's to a 07 Carrera then back to a 2013 Boxster. While I liked the Carrera and kept it for 5 years I really missed my Boxster's. When I saw the new Boxster I knew I wanted one. While the Carrera has more power the Boxster is hands down more fun to drive. If you have never owned a 911 then maybe you need to get it out of your system and see what it's like. I'm very haby Jim 'n' SC - Main Forum
Glad I got a Stuttgart built Boxster. Should be worth a preimum when I get ready to sell!by Jim 'n' SC - Main Forum
Just curious as to how many drive their Boxster's every day rain or shine? I drive a Toyota Tacoma on the bad days.by Jim 'n' SC - Main Forum
That is one great looking car! Hope you have many happy miles.by Jim 'n' SC - Main Forum
QuoteCK in Chatham NJ So I bought a 2012 Touareg v6Lux. I'm trying to get a white car with brown interior. I decided I needed the space over the speed. CK your just like my real estate clients I work with. They tell you what they are looking for and I show them exactly that and they go and buy something that is the total opposite of what they said they wanted. ha ha.by Jim 'n' SC - Main Forum
The 2L turbo is 240 hp and is fast as the GLK plus has all wheel drive. As with all BMW's it is a blast to drive. I'm planning on ordering one for my wife soon. They also make it in my hometown...even better!by Jim 'n' SC - Main Forum
I ordered my 981 with the model delete. Like the cleaner look of just PORSCHE.by Jim 'n' SC - Main Forum
QuoteRoger987 With my 987, I simply lean across and hold down the button above the centre latch while I press the lock button on my key. This engages the (less than spectacular) motion sensor. Granted, I'm 6 feet tall, and wear a 35" sleeve; this solution may not work for everyone. That doesn't work on the 981. As soon as you let go of the buttom the alarm goes off.by Jim 'n' SC - Main Forum
Any solution for the 981 with the top down to keep the alarm motion sensors on?by Jim 'n' SC - Main Forum
QuoteLawdevil & CURVN8R Having seen it, I can tell you Jim's platinum silver with platinum grey interior is gorgeous! I liked the platinum silver a lot more than I thought I would. I think I may like it better than arctic silver. Thanks Mike. It was great to meet you and CURVNR8 in Greenville last Saturday at the Car Rally. There were a lot a great cars! Really liked your color combinatby Jim 'n' SC - Main Forum
Looks Great! Remove the Boxster emblem on the rear deck lid and no one could tell it's not an "S".by Jim 'n' SC - Main Forum
First off, this is the best driving Porsche I have every owned including my previous 997 and my 99 & 03 Boxster’s. I won’t talk about the styling as beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but I think most would agree the new 981 is drop dead gorgeous. Likes: Engine: This is my first direct injection car. The engine delivers the power seamlessly without any fuss, which is what I want.by Jim 'n' SC - Main Forum
Sweet looking Box. Love that front spoiler...very aggressive.by Jim 'n' SC - Main Forum
Thought some might like to see the model delete option looks like on the 981.by Jim 'n' SC - Main Forum
The 981 6 sp is the best Porsche manuel I have driven. Haven't driven a 987. Throws are shorter and smoother than the 6 sp in my 997. Also with the 997 it was hard to get into 1st some of the time. The 981 is silkly smooth.by Jim 'n' SC - Main Forum
It is Platinum Gray. Very few options. Convenience package, ventilated seats, heated seats, colored wheel crest, power steering plus, clear side markers, and 19 rims. Sticker was $55,075.by Jim 'n' SC - Main Forum
Was planning on driving up to Hendersonville for lunch but the rain spoiled the plans.by Jim 'n' SC - Main Forum
After 10 long days on the water and 7 days from the port to the dealer I picked the car up yesterday. Probably won't get to drive it much today as it's suppose to rain most of the day. Here are a few pics I took after I got her to home:by Jim 'n' SC - Main Forum
