I'm sure it's not the cables though. They were the first thing I checked, and they were in good shape. I don't think more tension on them would help either.by Steve (Morro Bay) - Main Forum
I think the top on my 03 has started to sag. I wonder if it's only in my imagination though, since I don't have any other cars to compare with. In these pics, it looks to me like the canvas just below the window has started to slip, causing the window to hang a little closer to vertical than I remember it doing in the past. Can anyone have a look at a late 986 to compare for me? Is the rear wby Steve (Morro Bay) - Main Forum
I'm down in LA for Christmas, and keep meaning to drive up there to see if it's still open. Haven't had the chance yet. Had the rains started before you went?by Steve (Morro Bay) - Main Forum

I was wondering, do most people replace things other than the pads when they do their brakes? That is, there's the retainer clip, a rod, and a cotter pin. I'm doing my brakes this week and will replace those this time around, but I didn't do it last time and nothing exploded. Did I just get lucky?by Steve (Morro Bay) - Main Forum

AAA and most other roadside programs offer money for hotel costs when you get into this kind of jam. Do you spend out of pocket for most of these troubles? Hope your luck changes soon.by Steve (Morro Bay) - Main Forum
Mine has been plugged into the cigarette lighter for long stretches of time (weeks-months). Like Guenter says though -- make sure the one you get isn't a pure charger in the sense that it knows to shut itself off.by Steve (Morro Bay) - Main Forum
