Here is a test that will tell you if it's the battery. Turn on all your electrical (radio, blower, lights...). Now try to start. A good battery should be able to start the car.by carlos in Montreal - Main Forum
I would not be concerned. If you did not store your car you would be probably driving it until your next oil change. I'm pretty certain that if you drove the car you would not be thinking about the so called damage that could occur with a 7,000 mile oil.by carlos in Montreal - Main Forum
The final state will not be all electric. Car manufacturers are producing ALL EV's because that's the best they can produce. Porsche is experimenting with artificial non carbon fuels and Toyota is investing in Hydrogen fuel cell/electric. We will not be able to dig the world inside out for lithium.by carlos in Montreal - Main Forum
Yes, Tail of the dragon is good but I like 226A better... less traffic, sharper hills, twists and turns (so your son's "Ford" might struggle a bit). Also Cherohala is nice too with nice views.by carlos in Montreal - Main Forum

Did you have your keys in your pocket? This happened to me with my 987.1, but the opposite. I locked the car and went to the workbench and leaned over .... poof just like magic the car unlocked. These key fob buttons a small and sensitive. On my 987 if the front or back trunks are open, and you try to lock my car with the key fob it will lock the car, flash the turn signals twice and will honk onby carlos in Montreal - Main Forum
They said you cannot put golf clubs in the rear trunk. You can fit 2 sets nicely tucked in I've done it.by carlos in Montreal - Main Forum
Just curious, who prefills or not their oil filter housing with oil when doing an oil change?by carlos in Montreal - Main Forum
I'm not the original owner, I bought it in 2007 and it had only 5,000 miles.by carlos in Montreal - Main Forum
What a ride! I have driven cars from North America, Germany, Japan and Sweden but nothing comes close to my Boxster..nothing! Yea I know you can’t compare the ride and performance from a sports car to a sedan, but as operating cost go it has been the cheapest. So far on required repairs I have spent a total of $517. Yup $517. I do the all the required maintenance and some “Preventative mby carlos in Montreal - Main Forum

Inside fuse cover of a 2007 987 Boxster. I doubt it's a fuse puller made of metal.by carlos in Montreal - Main Forum
If you are going to replace the coolant and tank you might as well do the water pump. They start going bad between 60-70K.by carlos in Montreal - Main Forum
My first set lasted 8 years and got the new one from OE Wheels. They were Huff's and so far still working after 8 years. In the case of my 2010 VW Passat they are still running after 12 years, go figure!by carlos in Montreal - Main Forum
And taking a picture at 67MPH too. congrats. I still have to go 200,000 moreby carlos in Montreal - Main Forum
Your Porsche dealer has them. It's a small tube with a brush and it's a perfect match. I had the same tube at least 5 year and its still works. BTW if you have very small stone chip don't use the brush because it's to large. Use a pointed toothpick with a small drop of paint and dap the spot.by carlos in Montreal - Main Forum
I also used Sumitomo HTR ZIII. They were ok for the price. I now am running on FIRESTONE FIREHAWK INDY 500 and they are around $149 (225/50R17), $164 (235/50R17). I like them better because they are quieter and are also good value the money.by carlos in Montreal - Main Forum
Does it have a genuine purpose other than esthetics? Because on my 987 they came off and forced the push rod out of it's socket, so I never installed them back on..by carlos in Montreal - Main Forum
Actually your "Porsche" maintainer in made by CTEK. I've used mine for the last 14 years on both my Boxster and VW without any issues. As for the charging, if your battery, if it was very low it's normal that it will take 6+ hours to charge, then it will switch back to "maintain" or green light on; and yes the unit gets warm when charging. BTW by habit I always plug the Boxster in even if I knowby carlos in Montreal - Main Forum

The clips on both of my wind diffuser broke too. You can glue the diffuser back into place by by adding a few drops of expanding polyurethane glue(Gorilla) around the top edge. Don't over do it as just a few drops will do. The glue will expand to fill the void and stick to the roll bar. Saved over $300by carlos in Montreal - Main Forum
In my opinion it's more of an "emotional" or "nostalgic" thing. I remember when the V8 was disappearing, OMG, OMG it’s the end of the world! And now who’s driving a V8 today. Better get ready because by the end of the decade it’s probably going to be 0 cylinders.by carlos in Montreal - Main Forum
On my 2007 Boxster I got tired of plugging and unplugging the GPS, Radar Detector and or my phone charger for the internal plugs, so I installed a charger plug from battery Positive terminal and car ground to and external charger plug. Easy-peasy.by carlos in Montreal - Main Forum
Check your voltage it should be at least 12.4V. Under this it may not have all the power needed to start the car but enough to light up the dash. A fully charged battery should read > 12.6 volts. A charging system that is operating normally should produce about 13.8 to 14.3 or more. Battery Voltage and State of Charge: 12.66v . . . . . . . . . . 100% 12.45v . . . . . . . . . . 75% 12.24vby carlos in Montreal - Main Forum
