I completely agree.by Bob O - Main Forum
hmmmmm I hadn't thought of that. hmmmmm.by Bob O - Main Forum
I thoroughly enjoyed the Mo30 suspension upgrade I put on my 01 (which, from looking at it, appears to be the same thing as the X73 for the 981...shocks, springs and sway bar). You guys are persuading me to jump for the X73, For the price it's almost a no brainer. (other than the cost to install) . Decisions, decisions. Heck, that price is even below the threshold of needing a written ok frby Bob O - Main Forum
Thanks Mike. I am looking at the Michelin's too. And YES...I did see that X73 suspension option at Suncoast. VERY tempting to say the least. Price is up to $1,550 now but still not bad considering what it consists of. Hey Grant. Thanks for the info I've run the Bridgestone RE71s before and thought they were excellent all around tires. I think that's what was on the old Box the last time itby Bob O - Main Forum
I haven't posted in quite a while, but have been following the site since, well,,since it's inception. Until last Aug I had a 2001 base Boxster, black with MO30 suspenion, 7 & 15 mm spacers, and a few Pedro tweaks to the engine and suspension. It was a great track car for DE's and an all around wonderful everyday piece. Unfortunately it started making sounds from the engine which my mechanby Bob O - Main Forum
I sent an email last week to Willwood but haven't heard back yet. Pedro's design looks just like what I want and I've got a lead on one for sale so maybe.........by Bob O - Main Forum
Thanks Dave: The trailer isn't too much a concern. I've narrowed it down to the HF small trailer onto which I'll probably attach painted plywood with tiedown hooks for the tires and a toolbox. The problem is the hitch. I've seen the Willwood site and sent him an email to get more info, but haven't heard back. The only other ones I've seen require putting a hinge on the license plate and cuttby Bob O - Main Forum
That looks like what I was imagining. Remove the bumperettes, which is pretty easy, install the hitch to the attachment points and you're done. I can't find anything similar to that currently for sale though. I might end up having to make one.by Bob O - Main Forum
Well I finally did it. I cleaned out the storage locker and it's amazing how much room I now have! LOL So......I bought a set of pretty nice track wheels and the tires are soon to be on order. The problem is...I need a trailer. Actually I need to find a hitch. The Harbor Freight trailer that I've seen on here and elsewhere seems to be perfect. BUT...there's a definite lack of HITCH info arby Bob O - Main Forum
Thanks for posting. I love your car Wish I could have met you and seen it in person. It sounds like Mike and crew did their usual great job in setting up everything. Triple digits? Hmmmm better not tell a certain event organizer about that! lol. Last year I somehow, accidentally, completely unintentionally did the same thing while leading a group! Fortunately I had slowed down before gby Bob O - Main Forum
I use Costco quite often. No issues at all with using it.by Bob O - Main Forum
Can't wait!by Bob O - Main Forum
I thought we'd at least have gotten a teaser by now.by Bob O - Main Forum
No pics? No stories? nada? come on folks...let's hear about it. Everyone must still be recovering.by Bob O - Main Forum
Promise. I won't! (Is there a speed limit at Nurburgring??) (I can still see the look)by Bob O - Main Forum
Grrrrr you're probably taking my place BUT...I'll be enjoying the brisk weather and home brews in Munich...along with Nurburgring for a day in a Panamera. Not quite the same, but not a bad trade off. Have fun, don't get lost, and keep all four on the pavement!!!!! Bobby Bob O - Main Forum
We will be there at 8:30 just to be sure!by Bob O - Main Forum
You're more than welcome to join us. The more the merrier!!! And what's this about a new career??? Care to spill the beans yet??by Bob O - Main Forum
Great looking car Matt! Glad you're back in the fold. I'll miss seeing it and you at Boxtoberfest (see other post). I guess you can take my place as the....ummm..spirited (yeah that's the word) team leader! Have fun with it. I know you will. Be safe. Bobby Bob O - Main Forum
Thanks! We will certainly look for that while we're in Stuttgart. None of us have been to Germany so, unfortunately, there's way more to see than we'll have time for.by Bob O - Main Forum
Michael: This will be my first "miss" in ten years or so. We will be in Munich for Octoberfest! Actually we're leaving a week after Boxtoberfest, but Gail said there was no way we could go to both...It was a tough choice! Stuttgart and Nurburgring are on the agenda. (We're renting a Panamera for a couple of days and hoping to take it to Nurburgring...assuming it's still open!) I hate to miby Bob O - Main Forum
Wow Pedro. Very sorry to hear about your accident. Take it easy and do what the doctors say! You'll be up and about before you know it.by Bob O - Main Forum
Finished installing. I will take some pics today and start a new post with instructions! lol. The holster required some minor modifications to get it to work on the Boxster. No big deal but I'll explain what I had to do to get it to work. I ended up just popping off the holder with a flat pry bar (actually a paint scraper). It came right off with no damage. It just took more force that Iby Bob O - Main Forum
Tried that. Too much "stuff" up there to get access to it. Not enough room and the left one is under what appears to be an a/c duct.by Bob O - Main Forum
I tried to do that but there's not enough room to get even my smallest pliers in there to grab anything. Looks like drilling is going to be the option.by Bob O - Main Forum
Quotedb997S Or, a less violent method of drilling them out since they are plastic. No need to use a sledge hammer to kill a gnat, unless you just want to have a little fun. Of course!! Drilling is certainly the easiest and safest way, especially since they're plastic. (I only thought about shooting them off for a second or two. It would work, but might be troublesome for the wiring let aloneby Bob O - Main Forum
In order to mount my new concealed carry holster (see discussion a few weeks ago ) I need to remove the owner's manual holder under the steering column. It appears to be held by plastic rivets. At least it looks like they're rivets since they seem to be smooth headed and don't have screw slots. And there's too much "stuff" under there to get in there to see if they are screwed on (like a sby Bob O - Main Forum
Apparently you bought all they had because the auction is now closed. Darn.by Bob O - Main Forum
