That's great! I've been looking at Borla. The price for the 2001 S muffler is about 700-750 or so. The price for the same muffler for the non S is over 1600!!!! What the heck is with that? (Supply and demand I suppose) If the S fits the base then I would obviously the S model for half the price.by Bob O - Main Forum
LOL.. i watched about 20 seconds of that and had to turn it off!!! . OMG. There are some very strange people out thereby Bob O - Main Forum
I think it would fit fine. Hard to tell for sure without one in hand. There's a place to attach both the bottom and top hooks, at least on mine. BUT..depending on the year of your car, the plastic owner's manual holder looks like it would have to be removed first. Which is not that big a deal. I don't know if the newer models have the same structure under the steering wheel as the 01 does, soby Bob O - Main Forum
I DO like that one. It's very convenient, sturdy, looks like it would be solid when mounted. I may reconsider. Unfortunately it's sold out according to the web site. Backordered til March.by Bob O - Main Forum
Have you found any that are worth looking at?by Bob O - Main Forum
I wouldn't argue your point....I completely agree. However, again according to several CCW instructors and an attorney I know, there are several police departments around here which think otherwise. They have apparently interpreted brandishing as visible. NUTS! BS! But, since I'm not an attorney, and don't have one on retainer, and really don't want to push the issue at significant cost, I'lby Bob O - Main Forum
You're correct. I was unclear. Yes you can carry in the car without a ccw. And it can be anywhere in the car. BUT...it still has to be concealed, otherwise you risk "brandishing" issues. (This according two ccw instructors I asked) And yes the castle doctrine extends to the vehicle. Open carry was the wrong choice of words. sorry about that. I've tried the towel around the weapon in the seby Bob O - Main Forum
That's fantastic Marc! Congratulations.by Bob O - Main Forum
Nice chart..but.......Is the third line of the Driving Performance really "Acceleration 0-60 mph (0-160 km/h)"? Looks to me like it should be "Acceleration 0-100 mph (0-160 km/h)" LOL.. an error in a Porsche data chart? Tell me it's not so. The first time I read that line I thought they were comparing the Sport Chrono time to the without Sport Chrono time until I read the results! Holy cow.by Bob O - Main Forum
I like it!! It's easy to get to, holds the weapon securely and doesn't get in the way. The only problem is, it's probably not legal in Missouri. We have a sort of open carry in Missouri for vehicles and the laws for vehicles are the same for CCW permit holders as for those without one. One can carry in a car without a concealed carry permit. BUT...it has to be "concealed" . Unfortunately, tby Bob O - Main Forum
Alex you ARE trying to make your car just like mine! Red calipers, debadged, same color scheme. Go for it, it's beautiful. As Steve said, paint the intake grills too. Relatively easy and you'll be surprised at the difference it makes. Very nice looking car. I'm glad you're back. See you at Boxstoberfest next year....driving this time! Bobby Bob O - Main Forum
I've done both with mine. Left it up for a long period of time (like several months during the winter) and down for a month or two. I haven't noticed any issues with either. Don't the folks who put on hardtops leave there's down for extended periods? i would think if there was an issue with leaving it down, there would have been discussions about it on here or elsewhere and I haven't seen anyoby Bob O - Main Forum
Yes it is! All thanks to you Pedro! Thank you thank you. I've felt lost these past few months with nowhere to go. Although I don't post much, I used to read almost every post on PPBB (wayyyy too much time on my hands some days!) I'm sure I'll be doing the same here. I don't have much mechanical knowledge to add, and in the five or so years I've owned the Box not much has gone wrong with itby Bob O - Main Forum
