Quotedb997S Surprised the CURVN8R didn't drop its engine when it woke up and saw a Porsche truck parked next to it.by Lawdevil & CURVN8R - Main Forum
I did not add much since the Turbo comes with a fair number of standard features (like PASM, Nav etc) compared to the S model. I did add the premium package and upgraded wheels. Here it is after I applied a coat of P21S this afternoon. Sure takes a lot longer to do than the Boxster and the black shows every streak I tried to talk Dianne out of the black but she insisted. Looks great clean butby Lawdevil & CURVN8R - Main Forum
At long last, CURVN8R's new playmate has arrived. Only driven it about 140 miles so far (mostly mountain roads) and am more impressed than ever.by Lawdevil & CURVN8R - Main Forum

Look at The price has gone up some but this looks like what I bought.by Lawdevil & CURVN8R - Main Forum
From another Agate Grey Boxster, congrats! You can buy an opaque decal that perfectly covers the stickers and is almost undetectable. I think I got mine on EBay.by Lawdevil & CURVN8R - Main Forum
Which dealer is that? I got word Friday from Henessy that my Macan has been built and is now waiting for a ship. My guess is it will be here in of August - although we wan't be back from europe until September 10 to pick it up.by Lawdevil & CURVN8R - Main Forum
It appears from another article I read this is true - BUT the GTS will offer 370 hp. Further, the article said that forthe first ime the Cayman will be cheaper than the Boxster.by Lawdevil & CURVN8R - Main Forum
QuoteGuenter in Ontario QuoteRoger987 If those numbers are correct, maybe Porsche is just trying to dump the Boxster/Cayman. That's what it feels like. I really doubt that. If they planned to dump it, they would just stop changing it and just let the present version run its course. Why would you spend substantial money and energy redesigning the Boxster for a new engine to make something worby Lawdevil & CURVN8R - Main Forum
Or with S-100 - which is P21S packaged differently for the motorcycle market - at half the price!by Lawdevil & CURVN8R - Main Forum

Thanks for all the feedback. It seems the consensus is that it was put there by the Xpel installer. I guess it was a "freebie" since it was not listed on his invoice. Rather than try to track him down, and set up an appointment when I will be in Atlanta, I have just "solved" the problem with an Xacto knife and cut off the offending portion. Because of the location, you cannot see it unless yoby Lawdevil & CURVN8R - Main Forum
Hope that is not true. It is contrary to everything that has been reported earlier (mostly rumors), and even contrary to some public statements made by Porsche officials a couple of times. If it is true, there is no doubt that my 981 will remaining with me for a long time!by Lawdevil & CURVN8R - Main Forum
Showing my age now - I remember when I was young, almost all sports car owners, regardless of make, would flash or wave. This was back in the days when I was driving things like an MG-TD, an AMX (sort of a sports car), 914-6 or an MGB. Didn't matter whether the other guy was driving a Triumph, Corvette or XK-E. Never had a Ferrari flash though - of course I only saw one or two of those back thby Lawdevil & CURVN8R - Main Forum
Guenter, that is a little surprising. There is also a piece of clear film just in front of the rear wheel wells. I don't know who put it there but I recall my 987 had a similar piece in the same spot and I did not have Xpel on the 987. I don't recall one behind the rear wheel on the 987, but I wasn't really paying attention. I could have missed the one behind the rear wheel because it is almby Lawdevil & CURVN8R - Main Forum
My 981S is a little over three years old. I noticed yesterday that a small strip of clear vinyl/urethane behind the rear wheel well and at the front of the rear bumper cover is beginning to peel. My car had the Xpel "invisible bra" installed on the front clip - including the mirrors, door edge and door handle cups. My question is: is this clear strip factory installed or installed by the Xpelby Lawdevil & CURVN8R - Main Forum
Actually, mine was built July 4 - and "delivered" August 5. Had to wait since they did not offer PSE until July.by Lawdevil & CURVN8R - Main Forum
Your CURVN8R is still and infant. Mine celebrated its third bday on July 4!by Lawdevil & CURVN8R - Main Forum
QuoteRick J (Nashville, TN) Maybe the stars are aligned just right for a new Cayman to enter your life, lol. Please keep us updated as to how things work out. Kind regards, - Rick. Just try to avoid ladies in Volvos this time!by Lawdevil & CURVN8R - Main Forum
QuoteGary in SoFL They don't offer them in the Boxster or Cayman. I knew someone would catch that, but we were discussing the fine Porsche Leipzig product, which does offer it. Good catch, Mike. Actually I wish they did. The right rear vision on a Boxster is pretty bad with he top up and it wouldn't hurt to have some confirmation that something hasn't sneaked into the blind spot.by Lawdevil & CURVN8R - Main Forum
When did they start offering LCA in the Boxster?by Lawdevil & CURVN8R - Main Forum
Quotedak911 OK, I've started to look for another BOXSTER, after 2 Boxsters, a 997, and 2 Z3's, I want another BOXSTER must be automatic (gulp)and 05 to ?? [ Then we finished with a drive to the Niagara River and cruised along the Niagara Parkway. Not too many onboard pictures since we were busy leading the way, but together with the help of BLKBOX, we managed to capture some video of the drive. "WIFES GT3"? Maybe I need to get Dianne a GT3. After all, Gary, it is PDK only now!by Lawdevil & CURVN8R - Main Forum
Yet we know that Porsche makes no performance gain claim for the SE. It's just one of those things that helps to create the total sports car experience. As they say, "The whole is more than the sum of its parts. I recall reading an article in one of the Porsche Magazines (Excellence, Panorama, or Christophorus) when the GTS models of either the Boxster or Cayman came out that the increased hp wby Lawdevil & CURVN8R - Main Forum
You may be right about autobahn speeds - but the higher power and top speed of the C4s made a difference. At 161 mph, the C4S still had something left, while I imagine a Boxster would be getting pretty close to maxed out. Of course, comparing a Boxster S to a C4s is a little unfair. I suspect that there would not be much difference between a Boxster S and a base 911 cab.by Lawdevil & CURVN8R - Main Forum
Last fall I had the opportunity to drive a C4s cab for a couple of weeks in Europe. Although it was a marvelous car, I really could not see that much of an advantage over the Boxster S - except perhaps on the autobahn where the extra hp did make a difference in the high speed runs. In the mountains, I felt the 4S was a little better planted due to the 4 wheel drive, but for part of the drive weby Lawdevil & CURVN8R - Main Forum
Here is part of mine. I can't be Jay Leno - so I collect 1/18th models. Hopefully a new 919 will arrive in the post office next week!by Lawdevil & CURVN8R - Main Forum
Great choice in colors! Same as my 2013 S. I also had a 1974 MGB (which I had kept it) - although mine was an early 74 model with chrome bumpers. mikeby Lawdevil & CURVN8R - Main Forum
QuoteGary in SoFL QuoteLawdevil & CURVN8R Macan Turbo, jet black metallic, black interior with dark walnut, premium package and a couple of odds and ends. Too **** expensive - but it should be fun compared to most SUVs! Oh, it will be, but somehow I doubt is was Dianne that wanted the 3.6L turbo It's all hers - except for the last 60 hp for me!by Lawdevil & CURVN8R - Main Forum
