After my wife got pregnant in 1983 we stored the 1974 MGB that she had when we first met in Georgetown in DC. It sat for 16 years in a shed up the hill by the pool. In 2000 my daughter was approaching driving age and I was under some pressure from her and her mom to restore the MGB. I did the restoration and taught my daughter how to drive in the MGB. I figured if she could drive that she could dby Jeff (Philly) - Main Forum

Oh yes, I should mention my wife is now driving a Mercedes SLK350 convertible so she is not really a Porsche person.by Jeff (Philly) - Main Forum
I replied to Pedro's post below about four cylinder Boxster's which got me thinking about the Porsche four cylinder 924s and 944s. I thought it might be entertaining to tell you the story of how it came to be that I bought my first Porsche. My wife and I had just relocated from London back to Newport Beach CA in early 1982. We were living in a hotel. Our MGB (that Pattye bought in Washington DC aby Jeff (Philly) - Main Forum
My current 2012 Boxster is my fourth Boxster. Before that I had a 924, a 944 and a 944S2. All big bore 4 cylinder engines. Below is a photo of my S2. These were great cars; very flexible with a back seat for kids and lots of cargo space. I hauled sheet rock in my 924 after I moved to Pennsylvania from California in 1982 and bought a 300 year old house house that needed a lot of work. I would stiby Jeff (Philly) - Main Forum
Last week we stayed in Condado in a 10th floor condo we rented on the beach side of Ashford Ave. overlooking the the Caribbean. We spent three days seeing Old Town San Juan, one day on the beach and two days driving around. We also drove out to the Parque Forestal La Marquesa and saw the aviary there. We plan at least two more trips to Puerto Rico where we want to stay in other parts of the islanby Jeff (Philly) - Main Forum
My wife and I were in Puerto Rico this last week. The day before yesterday, based on a recommendation, we drove from San Juan south to a little town on PR 184 called Guavate. There is a place there called El Rancho Original that roasts pigs on a spit and serves pork that is great and memorable, $9 for a pound carved off the pig on the spit right in front of you. After a pork lunch we continue souby Jeff (Philly) - Main Forum
I spent the storm in the hospital with pneumonia. My wife was home with our daughter and son-in-law, James. They were visiting from Chicago. They were still here because their Sunday night flight back to Chicago was cancelled. In advance of the main Storm hitting I gave James a walk through over the phone on how to operate the generator. Power at the house went out at 10 PM yesterday. This morninby Jeff (Philly) - Main Forum

Thanks for sharing. The 67 Austin Healy 3000 brought back sweet memories of my 62 Healy.. The line about "Is there an air bag in there" (pointing at glove box), "Yes but you have to blow it up yourself" is precious. The 52 VW Beetle turn signals in the last video are something I don't remember ever seeing. I discovered that under each video, labeled "Spare Parts" are number of other short huby Jeff (Philly) - Main Forum

FYI, My 2012 is my fourth Boxster and I never added oil to the previous models except for an oil change. After 3000 miles on the 2012 I had to add a quart. I called service at the dealer and was told that this generation (09-12) has direct fuel injection which causes the car to burn oil. I believe he said it would do that for the first 15,000 miles.by Jeff (Philly) - Main Forum
