I received a formal engraved invitation from Ferrari to test drive their FF model. Today was the day. It has a 660 HP V12 engine and does 0-60 in 3.7 seconds. The sound it makes is fantastic. I got to drive it for about 20 minutes on some curvy roads. The presentation and test drive was followed by hors d'oeuvres and tasting of Dom Pérignon Vintage 2003 champagne. Unfortunately the FF is outsideby Jeff (Philly) - Main Forum
Here is a link to a one hour video I made of our trip to Prague. The video is organized in the order we saw the sights. Below is a high level sequence. The background music is from a local CD I bought entitled “Moravian Echoes”. I had a private email from someone on the board (see below) and I thought I would share my reply in case others might also be interested. Cost? The flight was on frequent flier rewards. The apartment was $50 per night. I spent around $500 on meals, transport etc for the seven days. The Opera (walking distance from the apartment) was not as opulent as Budapest or Vienna but still very nice and tby Jeff (Philly) - Main Forum

I just returned from a week visit in Prague. It is a beautiful city that was not bombed in WWII. It has a large medieval castle which is still used for government operations. The center city is made up of many old churches an other historic structures separated by cobblestone streets and squares. This is all overlayed by a very modern metro and tram system. The Czech traditional food is great, Iby Jeff (Philly) - Main Forum
I have driven on the Autobahn a couple of times. Never in a Porsche or anything that would do 150MPH. I think the first time was around 1980 in a Deux Chevaux, a Citroën 2CV or Citroën 2 tax horse power.by Jeff (Philly) - Main Forum

I noted that on the 2013 Boxster there are now two brown colors, Mahogany Metallic and Anthracite Brown Metallic. There is also a new special color Cognac Metallic which I don't like. They should have kept the "Macadamia Metallic". What I would really like to see is a "Copper Metallic".by Jeff (Philly) - Main Forum
I don't have to go far to find an historic place, I live in one. The Historic Great Valley House of Valley Forge Bed & Breakfast (circa 1720) Documented in 1720 but construction probably started pre 1700. The 'modern addition' on the left (left three upstairs windows) in the photo below was completed in 1791. See Photo below and our History page . I bought a 2012 Boxster in September. I went back to the dealer because, although I could load contacts to the CDR-30 using Bluetooth from my Android smart phone, I could not call them as the CDR-30 manual described I should be able to. When you selected the contact and hit "dial" it just went back to the main menu. My sales rep tried to help and we even tested this on a Cayman they had on the loby Jeff (Philly) - Main Forum
The link to my September post is here Just bought my seventh Porsche and my fourth Boxster. Traded my 2008 for a 2012. I have included the text I wrote on the differences bewtween my 2008 and my 2012 as I saw them below. I have had an issue with the CDR-30 cell phone capability for calling contacts that I have now resolved with the help of a post on Planet 9, but I will do a separate post on thaby Jeff (Philly) - Main Forum

I have been sorry for years that I did not have a photo of the 1962 Austin Healey 3000 MKIII that I owned back in the 1960s in Minneapolis Minnesota. Today I was going through some old photos and I found a 3x3 photo I forgot I had. The original color when I bought the car was white. My brother and I stripped it down and painted it a Metallic Copper, a color I would recommend to Porsche. I wish Iby Jeff (Philly) - Main Forum
My wife and I vacationed in Germany in October 2002 staying in Castles. One stop was Stuttgart for the Porcshe factory and museum tour. If you visit the link below you will see the before pictures, before they built the new museum. I guess I should have made that trip a decade later. Porsche cars are made of galvanized steel / aluminum and won't rust, they have a heater and windshield wipers. So why worry? I am from Minneapolis Minnesota, known for its severe winters. Back in the day I drove my 62 Austin Healey MK III all year around. I do remember having some difficulty turning the Austin Healey steering wheel after driving down a freeway for awhile when it was 35 degrees bby Jeff (Philly) - Main Forum

My wife contacted the local classic car club and the owner found a mechanic who cleaned the points and got it running well enough for the wedding. He also ordered points, condenser and a fan belt to install later. From the description of the cracked fan belt it sounded like it had dry rot. Pretty simple stuff actually where cars were not too complicated and you could open the hood and find everytby Jeff (Philly) - Main Forum
1931 Model A Ford at the Great Valley House The Owner parked up the hill so he coud get it rolling downhill to get it started. He drove it here for his son's wedding. The bride and groom will ride in this car after the ceremony. When he left here he was looking for a mechanic the could fix the back fire problem. 1931 Model A Ford I appreciate his maintenence problems. I have a 1974 MGB 1974 MGBby Jeff (Philly) - Main Forum

at least that is what I understand because I had a conversation about ordering my own configuration and that was not possible, everything in production is allocated. They will be coming out with something to replace Generation II. It is probably the Baby Boxster shown below. To be safe I removed all three screws. I used the denatured alcohol and that worked fine as it has before. I also bought vinyl black satin spray paint at pep boys and put a couple of coats on after removing the stickers. Unfortunately you can still see the rectangular foot print where the sticker was.
