readers who derive value from this site could make occasional 'voluntary' personal contributions to the Board via Paypal. I've seen this on many other forums, and it's no big deal. I think times--and attitudes--have changed to the point where you might be shocked at how many folks would be absolute happy to contribute. Rickby Rick (Nashville, TN) - Main Forum

.. a few weeks ago. I started out with a blanket on the seat and draped over the back and tucked in from the rear, but the dog worked it loose, and the blanket was on the floor within 30 minutes, lol.. My car turned 11 this April, and has never seen a pet during the entire 11 years, so I figured it wouldn't hurt too much. The dog and leather seat are fine. Just needed a little vacuuming. Your car will be made 'right' again, I'm sure. Glad to hear it's nothing too serious. By the way, it was great chatting with you at BRBS this year. Hope you enjoyed the event. Best regards, Rickby Rick (Nashville, TN) - Main Forum
This year's event was smooth, crisp, and seamlessly run. Thanks to Karl, Nell, Ron, Mary, Pedro, and Stefan for your event planning skills! So many new faces this year as well. It was great meeting all the new folks. And renewing friendships with BRBS veterans. The hotel, and staff, were awesome. Gary is a dead-ringer for Brian Cashman, lol!! Mike, When I bought my 928 S4 a few years ago, I strategically hid '150' one-hundred dollar bills in 10 envelopes, then stashed the 10 envelopes in various pockets of a pair of cargo pants I was wearing. I then took off in a rental car (with the cargo pants on, lol), and drove from Nashville TN to Orange County NY (didn't feel like flying) for a mini-road trip to purchase the car. Your support and friendship means everything to me. And the beautiful 'high country' of North Carolina is healing and therapeutic. I just got off the phone with the Switzerland Inn.. I've added the extra night, and so I will be arriving on Wednesday! I'm really looking forward to the 7:00 p.m. social in the bar.. Best regards, Rickby Rick (Nashville, TN) - Blue Ridge Boxster Summit (BRBS)
I've been on the waiting list at the Switzerland Inn since early March. I guess I must have made steady progress up the list because I've finally received two calls in the last week. The first call was for a 2-bedroom suite, which I don't need, but this morning I got a call from Deborah at the Switzerland Inn informing me that a regular room had opened up in the main lodge, so I reserved it immby Rick (Nashville, TN) - Blue Ridge Boxster Summit (BRBS)
I just heard about the recent tornadoes in North Carolina on the Weather Channel this morning. They mentioned Sanford. Hope you and your wife are all right. Regards, -rickby Rick (Nashville, TN) - Main Forum
My mom turned 80 recently, so for her birthday present, I decided to treat her to a month's stay in Florida. So, in late January, my new golden retriever, my 968, and myself drove up to Ohio to pick up my mom. I left my 968 in her garage, and we made the two day drive to Vero Beach FL in her '04 Buick LeSabre, lol.. My other rides (986S, 993, 928S4) were all safely tucked away in Nashville, nby Rick (Nashville, TN) - Main Forum
The Big Sur area has to be one of the most dramatically beautiful places on earth. I can't imagine how cool it would be to head out of the office and have *that* amazing stretch of road waiting for you! Regards, -rickby Rick (Nashville, TN) - Main Forum
In recent weeks, I've been thinking about going to the 'dark side' and possibly ordering an '11 Cayman S if I can get a build slot. I've got my exterior color choices narrowed down to Platinum Silver, Meteor Grey, and Aqua Blue. I've never owned a silver Porsche, and have been wanting one for a while. Of course, no one has any Platinum Silver cars on hand for an up-close inspection. And, I'mby Rick (Nashville, TN) - Main Forum
And it's so satisfying to see all the familiar names again. I was really worried that this valued community was going 'off the grid' permanently, lol. Thanks for giving us a voice again! There is a wealth of accumulated knowledge here. Kind regards, Rick Jby Rick (Nashville, TN) - Main Forum
