Looks like a Camaro from the rear. it's like they gave one team X amount of money to design the car, and they ran out of money about 2/3 of the way into it, so, they slapped on a Camaro butt, and called it fully baked.by db997S - Main Forum
Very Ferrari/Lambo like in design. Hard to see the Vette in this one. That might turn off American Muscle heads. They also love to pop the hood and show of their wears, which as Boxster/Cayman owners know all to well, isn't the easiest thing to do with a mid-engine. Even if it is under glass, like some exotics do, still not the same thing.by db997S - Main Forum
Okay, maybe just not hay, some may opt for Beef-o-Reeno, like Kramer.by db997S - Main Forum
The future is electric. There was a time when the future was petrol, but back then, the present was hay. I'm sure many people back then thought that petrol was a fad and scoffed at it. The horse and buggy set were waxing poetic about the sound of the neighing and clip clap of horse feet, not to mention the sound and smell of the exhaust note. Nothing like the speed and adrenaline rush of twoby db997S - Main Forum
Agree, Laz, and even nicer if you have ventilated seats. I turn my AC on manual with the air flow coming out the floor and dash vents (pointed down and towards me, and ventilated seats on. I do the similar on cooler days but with heat and heated seats on. Both approaches really extend the top down driving season here in the mid-Atlantic states.by db997S - Main Forum
He's darn lucky that thing can brake. The first turn he almost rearended that white Miata.by db997S - Main Forum
How older are your tire sensors? I proactively changed mine after 8 years due to a new set of tires being put on the car. I love the TPM and didn't want to go without it. Although, odd that all four would crap out at the same time.by db997S - Main Forum
Haven't done anything to it since I drove it off the dealer's lot in Nov. 2009. Still brings me joy to drive (daily driver, for me).by db997S - Main Forum
And, if it they can center the batteries and have 50/50 weight distribution, on top of a low center of gravity that these power packs create this car may not simply be about 0-60 times. It very well could eat up the curves like a true Porsche.by db997S - Main Forum

I remember back in Oct. 98 when I picked up my 99 Boxster. Back then, you couldn't do test drives because any car was sold. Days of 6-month wait lists. So, the first time I sat in one was after I signed the purchase papers. To this day, I still remember that 99 feeling just right. Almost like slipping on an old pair of your most comfortable jeans. Not sure if it was the first series, but myby db997S - Main Forum
The Panamera was just a luxury sedan, but reviews all raved about the driving and handling dynamics. Sales people all talked that up when it hit the show rooms. They even took many salesmen to tracks to test it against the Maserati sedan, its biggest competitor. Supposedly the Panamera slayed it. Guess, just different marketing techniques for a different sort of animal, but thought they wereby db997S - Main Forum
he 19s look too shinny and in a way like airplane propellers. Also, don't like how "inset" the propellers look with those wide/deep lip. But, it really depends what you like. Wheels are subjective and a matter of taste. I'm not into flash, and the 19s look a bit too flashy.by db997S - Main Forum
Does it drive like a boat? Looks like it would float down the highway, which might be good for old bones.by db997S - Main Forum
Yes, but it was only while at work, so way less than 5-day sleep mode.by db997S - Main Forum
It has happened twice this week. Have a 2009 PDK. Car is in park, foot on brake pedal, turn the key and nothing. All the dash lights display, idiot lights on, but no clicking/cranking noise. Just dead silence. Turn again, same result. I remove the key, open the door and start over. Fires right up. Do I need a new batter for the key fob? Is the starter going (pun intended)? A switch/relaby db997S - Main Forum
Had the top down yesterday on the way home from work in DC. Think this this the furthest into the season where I haven't had consecutive top-down days. Rained this morning, so top back up. Should be down on the way home.by db997S - Main Forum
CA is a bit more advanced in the EV department than the rest of the country. Makes sense. Also, easier for Porsche to meet its goal of 500 in US.by db997S - Main Forum
This to correspond with the release of Mission E. Most will be at dealerships, but not all. So, whether you like it or not, the times, they are a chargin, er, I mean a changin.by db997S - Main Forum

Saw a McLaren 12C on the way to work this morning. It was a warm day (68F) so had the top down and got to hear it, albeit at rush-hour speed, it still sounded sweet. While not the ultra super car McLarens, the rear view was race-car cool. Never seen a McLaren in the wild before. Had to Google it because no model designation. If it weren't for the "double" scoops on the sides and the twin-pipby db997S - Main Forum
This will be a cross over based off of the Mission E. I read a different article where the Mission E will come out before this crossover version based on the Mission E. Think of it as the Panamera and the station wagon version (Grand Tourismo) of the Panamera. This thing in the article would be the equivalent to the wagon version of the Panamera, but in the Mission E model. It wouldn't be a sby db997S - Main Forum
My first Boxster (98), did not have the OBC option, but I really wanted to have the outside temp display appear. All cars were equipped with the gauge, but technically, you needed the OBC option ($) to activate it. When I brought me car in for the first time for its service, I asked the tech if he could activate just that function. He did. So, not sure if you have a decent dealer, but as yourby db997S - Main Forum
I'm a big electric car fan, but that seems as numbing as Novocaine. Fossil fuels for the track, and electric for roadways.by db997S - Main Forum
I dispute that. For one, they claimed it was to increase MPG of the entire company fleet, but the gains were nominal at best. They could have gotten the same by de-tuning the six, and/or decreasing the "size" of the six. Both would have probably helped with emissions, as well.by db997S - Main Forum
The sad thing, I don't think that the small MPG increase was worth dropping the two cylinders. Personally, I think it was an excuse so that Porsche can do exactly as the article indicates and drop the Boxster line altogether. Taking off my tin foil hat now and reentering the real world. Guess the Macan will become the new entry-level Porsche.by db997S - Main Forum
