You people just start getting there earlier and earlier! It was great to see you Guenter. You were one of the people I was most happy to see. So, what, about another 350 days or so till BRBS 2015?by Meredith in Atlanta - Blue Ridge Boxster Summit (BRBS)
I haven't been in 5 years and it is so different now than it used to be. Much better location with views of the mountains (and a rainbow!) I didn't do any of the fun drives because I was just there to relax, which was wonderful. Saw and reconnected with old friends and made some new ones. Spent a lot of time just chatting. I'll be anxious to hear others' opinions, raves etc. Karl, Ron, Mary anby Meredith in Atlanta - Blue Ridge Boxster Summit (BRBS)
Interview tomorrow, house inspection Wednesday and heading up for the Hills Thursday! I can't wait to see you all!by Meredith in Atlanta - Main Forum
My chances of going are about 75% sure. I'm between contracts at work and MUST get a job ASAP in order to qualify to buy the house we have a contract on. I have a 2nd interview Tuesday and may have an offer on Wednesday. If this is the case, I will likely go up Thursday. Long story short, it's unlikely that I'll do the caravan unless I get news sooner! Hope to see you all next week!by Meredith in Atlanta - Blue Ridge Boxster Summit (BRBS)
A co-worker had an accident in his 2013 Cayman S recently. Was hit from the right side and pushed into another car. Unfortunately it wasn't totalled... the repairs are going to be $$$ and the other guy's insurance should cover it. I advised him to file a Diminished Value claim when the repair is done... he should get back $$$...by Meredith in Atlanta - Main Forum

Charley and I were on our honeymoon in St. Croix. We rented a jeep for the week. There are some very steep mountains and rough terrain on the West side of the island... we were just exploring and ran out of road with pretty much no way out. He ended up being able to turn us around, but it was very nerve-wracking looking down the side of the mountain. It's the first and only time I think I've seenby Meredith in Atlanta - Main Forum

QuoteMarcW The result is it had to spend the money anyway, and the customer's experience was diminished which costs something over a number of customers (lost future sales either directly or through word of mouth and the possibly the customer will seek out another shop for his or her car's service needs). Right, Marc. In this case, they made good and I will continue to be their customer. But itby Meredith in Atlanta - Main Forum
After being on vacation for a few days, came back and drove the new clutch today for the 2nd time since I picked it up last week. The difference is dramatic. I don't know how it passed CPO. The fact that Porsche paid for it makes me think they realized they should have caught it. Whatever, I'm thrilled! Got a new battery but didn't know there was a new OEM ver. Will check!by Meredith in Atlanta - Main Forum

When I got this 2010 Boxster in November of 2013, I hadn't driven a manual in a couple of years, so my expectations weren't very high. When the Porsche Service told me I needed a new clutch, I was very skeptical. They installed it at their cost (PCO)..... and .... WOWOWOW! What a difference! This thing is smooth as butter and I am so thrilled with it. The service guy swore I'd stall on the way hby Meredith in Atlanta - Main Forum
QuoteBobtesa The "etc." is a big deal. Besides the inflation adjusted price that Boxsterra calculates, the other etc's to add to Guenter's list include rear class window (with defogger) top up/down while driving direct injection (that's a pretty big deal) from what I have heard, improved soft top for noise reduction bi-xenon is standard (I think) I also think larger wheels are standard compareby Meredith in Atlanta - Main Forum
QuoteBoxsterra Though Porsche has moved to having more expensive options so it is possible to option one up to be more expensive. Yeah, I think that's what I was getting at... When I optioned my first Boxster (back in '00!), my options raised my price way less than one today. And this was tiptronic. Wish I could see that sticker again -by Meredith in Atlanta - Main Forum
2010 PCO Boxster (base) with some really nice options at $35K.... and now with a new (free) clutch/flywhweel, battery... not that i should have paid for those, but it's nice that they're new. I absolutely LOVE my car... I cannot wait to get it back.. And it will be clean as a whistle after this ridiculous Winter. Can't wait to see the BRBS crowd!by Meredith in Atlanta - Main Forum
And in other news, the sun will most likely rise in the morning... Anyway, this 2014k Cayman base that I'm driving as a loaner is nice, but wayyyy too much on the instrument panel.... not intuitive enough for my tastes. Out of curiosity we found the MON and this car retails for $63K! And it's not even an S! It has a ton of upgrades including Basalt black, aerated seats, colored crest, sound pacby Meredith in Atlanta - Main Forum
QuoteBoxsterra In any case, work done by an independent shop definitely doesn't void your warranty.Problem with most independent shops is they don't have the computer systems that are up-to-date. I used one for an oil change on one of my previous boxsters and while I saved $$, they weren't able to update my OBC to indicate it was done...by Meredith in Atlanta - Main Forum
Quotegrant I'm sure you could get a list from Peachstate PCA GrantI don't think they'd honor my warranty or CPO...by Meredith in Atlanta - Main Forum
Quotehjk3 Meredith, Just one word when it comes to dealer service in Atlanta. HennessyUgh, yeah, I have heard that.... it's outside of the city though. I'll continue to do what I'm doing and rely on y'all and my husband to add to my spidey-senses that something ain't right....by Meredith in Atlanta - Main Forum
