When I posted about the car on Facebook, one of Charley's friends said, "Conspicuous Consumption!"by Meredith in Atlanta - Main Forum
This is the most fun car I've ever driven. Yeah, I've had others including a Cayman S. There's something about this Boxster (base model, MY 2010 987.2) that just meshes completely with my driving. I think being away from a Boxster for 2 years (in Volvos) makes me appreciate it more than having gone from one Boxster/Cayman to another for 10 years. I have a new appreciation for the gears - a lot moby Meredith in Atlanta - Main Forum

This is my 5th Porsche, and my favorite. It is a base 2010 (987.2?).... Boxster. I've had so many versions of this car (Tiptronic base, manual base, manual S, Cayman S) and now my 987.2 base. This is by far my favorite and I'm absolutely sure it is because I went almost 3 years in Volvos. I absolutely LOVE this car. I don't think I got permagrin until this car. Just taking a moment to mention hoby Meredith in Atlanta - Main Forum

She's SO excited. She was going to look at the new Corvette as well (at the urging of others), and that is an awesome alternative, but 1) She prefers the Cayman and 2) all the Vettes are sold out. I actually think she's happy they're sold out because as much as she wanted to test drive one, her heart is stuck on the Cayman.by Meredith in Atlanta - Main Forum

Grant - I've been paying a lot of attention to this - thank you. It has helped a lot. I'm a hell of a lot better at shifting than I used to be, and I don't know why. Maybe it was your advice - but I get it. I never really used to downshift. If I was approaching a light, I would just approach and put it into neutral, but I'm finding that down shifting is a lot of fun. As for upshifting, I agree anby Meredith in Atlanta - Main Forum
This car's used, so I do stomp on it! We have a tunnel right nearby (The Krog Tunnel, for anyone in Atlanta), and I love to get it real loud there. It's so funny because my husband used to have a Porsche, but he's super conservative when it comes to gas, so I have to laugh when he looks at me funny. The absolutely BEST thing about this car is the sound and the feel of the shift!by Meredith in Atlanta - Main Forum

Wow, Guenter - I couldn't agree more! I had this conversation with my salesman- I will never want a PDK but it seems the wave of the future, and he indicated that it was inevitable!by Meredith in Atlanta - Main Forum
