Verifying against a GPS, it seems that my speed readout is about 3 MPH high at speeds below 55 MPH and 4 MPH high at speeds 55 MPH and greater . Any idea why, and if I can get the speedo adjusted? Appears the 18" wheels are the original wheels that came with the car. Tires are the correct sizes.by bar10dah - Main Forum
I posted a question on reenlist. I just wanted to be sure I didn't already have M030 springs, ROW or US, before ordering a set. I'm guessing not, since the colors don't match what's listed on reenlist. So I called Suncoast and they happened to have a ROW kit in stock! Ordered and on it's way. Now, to figure out the 3mm / 6mm spacers issue...by bar10dah - Main Forum
I read somewhere that the springs were color coded as to what type they were. I can't seem to find that information again. Can anyone point me to it? Or be able to let me know what green/yellow springs in my '99 Box mean? Stock suspension, I'm assuming.by bar10dah - Main Forum
I found 0W-40 of Mobil 1 by the quart at the local Napa on sale for $5.98/qt. They don't have 5W-40 or 10W-40. And they don't have it in the 5qt size. Bought 10 quarts and a Napa Gold 1042 filter. This'll get me through the mild Alabama winter. Come spring, when I should be due for my next oil change, I'll continue my search for 5W-40 or 10W-40. Picked up the LN Engineering spin-on adapter,by bar10dah - Main Forum
Yeah, I know... another oil question... Went looking at Wal-Mart for the gallon jugs of 0W-40 today. Came across a jug that said "Designed for Turbo Diesel Trucks." What's that about? Compatible with the Boxster? They had it for $23. Originally looking for 10W-40, but the only 40 they had was the 0W-40. Since we're approaching fall/winter, and I'll probably put enough miles on the car toby bar10dah - Main Forum
Thanks. From the looks of the tube and the broken piece, it's a perfect fit. So whatever smaller shards that broke off and fell into the camshaft area are very minuscule, if at all. After that fiasco with the first tube, I took Pedro's advice and went to Bass Pro to pick up a 1" transom plug. Worked beautifully on the remaining five tubes. Should have done that to begin with...by bar10dah - Main Forum
While attempting to pull the spark plug tubes out, the end of the needlenose broke the tube. Does the broken bits of plastic that are in that part of the engine pose any problem?by bar10dah - Main Forum
