QuotePedro (Weston, FL) The auto locking doors can be programmed using a PSTII, PIWIS or Durametric unit, not by the user Durametric? I don't recall seeing that option anywhere in their software? Is programming the door locks only available in the professional version?by bar10dah - Main Forum
When I first bought this car, I was thinking, "man, great convertible! Wish I had heated seats, though." So, one day, I'd like to do this upgrade! The next time I have to drive through NC, I'll try to stop at that salvage yard up there and see if they have heated seats that fit my car. What other components should I make sure I pull out of the donor car? Switches and wiring harnesses? Sinceby bar10dah - Main Forum
I'm curious about doing this job myself. Would you post the details of your "upgrade" here?by bar10dah - Main Forum
I went. Overall, had fun. However, the event wasn't without it's problems. Posted a little about it here: And uploaded an amateur video here:by bar10dah - Main Forum
Forgot to sign up online, so I got to get up at 3AM to make the three hour drive, plus the one hour time change, to get there by the 0800 registration opening. Not to mention the possibly long line I'll have to wait in. Geez, should have signed up earlier this week... For those that are going, see you there!by bar10dah - Events
I'd like to go, but may have something more important to do. If this other thing can wait, I'll be there!by bar10dah - Events
...or at least that's what I read somewhere. Antiseize acts as an insulator, whereas you'd rather have a good solid connection between the plug and engine block. That is, if I recall correctly.by bar10dah - Main Forum
I'll probably be up that way for that Mille2011 event. I've been a rider for quite some years now. Even worked as a test rider for Victory. However, never been a fan of HDs. Depending on the event schedule, and if I can get my car out of the "parade" parking early enough, I should be able to swing by Athens on my way home.by bar10dah - Main Forum
When I was topping off, I accidentally overfilled. So I used a plastic medicine syringe and removed fluid until it was about halfway on the dipstick (the engine was hot, but the fluid going in was cold, so I went between the hot/cold markings on the dipstick). When I was pulling fluid out, it appeared to be brown. Should it be? The Pentosin I was putting in appeared purple.by bar10dah - Main Forum
Pedro, or anyone else that archived it. I hear there was a DIY on the old board on how to change the power steering fluid. Any chance someone has those instructions saved?by bar10dah - Main Forum
I just replaced my rear tires today and took the car out for a test drive. That low oscillating sound is gone!! Wohoo! I have Cooper Zeon 2SX on the front with 8/32 left. I figure I'd get some BFG G-Force Sport for the rears this time around. By the time I'll need new tires again, I'll get matching front/rears, maybe even with new wheels. I really like the brush face silver RW-5 from rodeby bar10dah - Main Forum

Are the headlight assemblies still available?by bar10dah - Main Forum
I would like the headlight assemblies, if they fit my '99 (I think that it does). My driver's side appears clear, but my passenger side looks yellowed. Not sure why that has happened.by bar10dah - Main Forum
I did just that, used needle nose pliers, and ended up breaking the tube. Had me scared for a bit, as I wasn't sure if any of the plastic fragments ended up in the crankcase. However, as soon as that tube broke, I drove out to a boating supply store and picked up the transom plug for $6. Came back and pulled the broken tube out and the remaining five tubes in no time at all! Luckily, the sharby bar10dah - Main Forum
I got my first issue of Excellence today! Very cool!by bar10dah - Main Forum
I just had the tires rebalanced a week ago. Hunter Road Force. I'm still hearing the oscillating noise. I'm thinking I'm just going to inflate to 29 front and 36 rear and start pricing new rear tires (fronts appear pretty new, lots of tread left). I can't tell if the noise is coming from the front or the rear, so I'll just start with the rears and see what happens. Thanks all for the help!by bar10dah - Main Forum
Okay, so just to clarify, running lower pressure makes the centers wear faster?by bar10dah - Main Forum
Noticed the noise when the tires were at 32 PSI. Still heard the noise when inflated to 36 PSI. And heard again when lowered pressures to 29 PSI. Tomorrow, I'll inflate back up to 36 PSI and leave it.by bar10dah - Main Forum
But I'll look again tomorrow.by bar10dah - Main Forum
I just bought the car and don't have any history. But when I picked it up, all four tires were at 32 psi. Per the inflation sticker, lowered the front to 29 and raised the rear to 36. However, when I noticed the centers of the rear were worn that much, I lowered the rears to 29.by bar10dah - Main Forum
The sound doesn't appear to follow the swerving, just the speed. So best guess is the wheel bearings aren't the culprit? My rear tires seem to have plenty of tread on the outsides, but the centers are almost down to the wear bar. It's really really close! Probably in 1,000-2,000 miles I'll be ready for new rear tires. I guess I'll wait until then to see if the sound goes away. Then I'll doby bar10dah - Main Forum
...hope I don't get stopped for possible DUI from all the swerving I'm about to do!by bar10dah - Main Forum
'99 Box w/ 66K miles. I hear a low oscillating noise: womwomwomwom... Appears to change frequency with vehicle speed. So, I'm thinking either wheel bearings, or tires. Any experience with this type of noise? What would you start with first? I'm about to replace the suspension with a ROW M030 kit. Since most of the suspension components will be out of the way, may be the perfect opportunitby bar10dah - Main Forum
Wow!! Sounds awesome! I didn't know such an event existed! I'll be looking for them in the future. Uh, by the way, where do I find such events?by bar10dah - Main Forum
I'm guessing AX is autocross. But what's DE? I couldn't find anything about these acronyms. Even googling AX and DE together was a mess...by bar10dah - Main Forum
After all, it's pretty easy to subtract 3 while below 55 and subtract 4 when 55 or greater. Was just hoping for an easy fix. Not a big deal, though. On a similar note, my two '05 Hondas have accurate speedos. But the odometers were reading about 4% higher. Most others were reporting variances between 2% and 4%. Honda was eventually sued in a class action suit and in the end had to extend thby bar10dah - Main Forum
