Those range 1 ignitions means that you're not driving hard enough! When the car hits the rev limiter, a few ignitions are registered as range 1, which is right at the limiter. You should see the millions of range 1 in my car! The SAI is just an air pump which assists the cats for a few seconds during cold starts. Only required by the Republic of California. There's just one engine mount (front) and two transmission mounts. The engine mount is really a wear item and should be replaced every 50K miles. The transmission mounts can go much longer and are generally not replaced unless they leak. A very worn out front engine mount can certainly create a sound clunk, especially when accelerating or breaking Happy Boxstering, Pedroby Pedro (Odessa, FL) - Main Forum
... of their own doing! Why are they so hardheaded? If they keep loosing sales in China and the US Tariffs apply, they won't be able to sustain themselves, especially if they also loose truck sales and obviously no Boxster/Cayman platform! Hold on to yours; they will start to appreciate. Happy Boxstering, Pedroby Pedro (Odessa, FL) - Main Forum
... is due to the very aggressive hygroscopic nature of the fluid itself. It is so thirsty, that it will pull water molecules from the air through the brake likes themselves. So, many times people think they had contamination from an external source, when they didn't. That is the reason brake fluid in our cars needs to be flushed every 2 year regardless of miles driven. Hi Grant. Long time! But, why? I don't understand the "dry" approach. It introduces the chance of drawing air that won't be visible. It also exposes the new fluid to more opportunity to draw in humidity and chances to spill fluid outside the reservoir. Happy Boxstering, Pedroby Pedro (Odessa, FL) - Main Forum
That is true, unfortunately. The glass is bonded onto the canvas with heat and pressure, in a special jig. It would be more costly to remove, repair and reinstall than to just replace with a new top. Happy Boxstering, Pedroby Pedro (Odessa, FL) - Main Forum

Just received my own copy from the Author! From what I perceive without having read it yet, it's very complete and easy to read. Full of great information. Jeff (the Author) tells me that the first copies should be available from Amazon on or around 3/31/25. Happy Porsche'ing, Pedroby Pedro (Odessa, FL) - Main Forum
When the AC is on, the radiator fans run at full speed. If you switch off the car with the AC on, when you restart the AC will be on by default and hence the fans will run at full speed. Happy Porsche'ing, Pedroby Pedro (Odessa, FL) - Main Forum
My car has 313,000 miles and it's still on the original clutch. My driving style is aggressive/smooth with 60% highway, 30% city and 10% track. When the clutch starts to go, you'll feel the RPMs rise while he speed doesn't as you accelerate in a high gear (5th/6th). Happy Porsche'ing, Pedroby Pedro (Odessa, FL) - Main Forum

Hello, Porsche .... are you watching? This is what I've been clamoring all these years instead of the e-Kool-Aid. I hope Porsche backtracks as some other manufacturers are starting to do, like BMW and MB. Happy Hydrogenating, Pedroby Pedro (Odessa, FL) - Main Forum

The SAI has become an issue because of the age of the vehicles. The easiest thing is to eliminate the air pump and reprogram the ECU to the RoW spec, but that's not legal in CA. BTW, CA is the only state that required the SAI but Porsche said that they would not ship two different versions to USA, so everyone else get stuck with the system! The SAI is turned on by the ECU during cold starts, so tby Pedro (Odessa, FL) - Main Forum

I have not, so I'm afraid I'm not able to help much with this noise. Generally whines come from gears, so think transmission/transfer case. All the roof tiles are in place as well as my solar panels which have never stopped producing electricity. With so much rain (over 22"), our pond behind the house quickly filled to the brim and then started spilling over to the cypress hammock behind it.
