Quotedb997S According to today's Globe and Mail, on average, prices will go down $5,200 ($7,200 with basic options). The Turbo S by $16,600, a Panamera S will drop by 10%, and the base Boxster will now start at $54,900. The 911 GT2 RS will see the biggest drop of $17,500 with a base price coming in at $279,000. Still have the originals on my 06 Boxster. Of course, it doesn't get winter driven, where wipers tend to take a real beating. I find cleaning the rubber inserts with a sponge and clean water when I wash the rest of the car helps to keep them working streak free. I'm a bit anal about clear vision when driving.by Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum
With any of my cars, I make it a point of parking: - furthest from the entrance to a store / mall (helps prevent scratches from people walking between the cars with packages) - in a parking lot on a hill, I park near the top of the hill (shopping carts don't roll uphill) I'm not anal. I just want my gorgeous Boxster to stay looking the way it came from the factory.by Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum

Quotejg atl There are at least 3 different license plates on the Boxsters in the video. I saw that too. That isn't surprising as often I've seen "spy" shots of 3 or 4 similar cars driving in a convoy. My guess is that they would be testing a number of different components on the various cars so they could obtain as much data as possible in the shortest period of time.by Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum
Thanks, Burg. Guess there must be a number of different spellings for that little place. Whatever the Swedish spelling, I believe the English translation is Freezinmybunsoff. It does appear to be a cool place to test new cars.by Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum
Roger, I agree with most of your observations. I much prefer the look of the current door mirrors. The door mounted ones just look "ordinary, plain" The 987 mirrors look more like the belong on a Porsche. I think (and hope) that the rear fender curves haven't been changed much. When you see the car coming around a corner, there appears to be heavy camouflaging tape (hopefully) covering some extby Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum

I can try to answer a couple of your questions. #1 I'm not sure of the mechanical differences between auto and manual climate control, but it's got to be more than just the control module that is different. You would need sensors, controls and motors to automatically adjust the fan and temperature control with the auto unit. You don't need those with the manual control unit, so I don't see how yby Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum
My bike tires get pumped up in the spring and seldomly need air during the season. After storing it in November, the tires will be flat by the time I get it out in April. Never really checked it in the Boxster since I pump up the tires to 55 lb when I store it. Second thing I do in the Spring is let air out of the tires to bring them back down to operating pressure. I'll try to remember to checby Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum
send a rescue party your way. Our two day mild spell almost has all the s**w melted. Just a few little piles here and there. No worries though. Actually, I believe think Arctic Silver and GT Silver cost about the same to produce. (I know Roger has the answer to this one from personal experience.) A couple of years ago, Ruby Red was a $970 CDN option. This year it's a $4280 CDN option. That part is a marketing game. Probably they only want to use a certain number of "standard" colours. Additional colours just make the process a bit moreby Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum
QuoteLaz I discovered this by rotating polarized glasses in front of my face and seeing how much brighter the screens got. You are entirely correct. Since I spend most of my time looking through the windshield, I find it's not much of a problem slightly tilting my head if I have trouble reading the radio or HVAC displays.
