LOVE that second picture. It made me want to hop on a plane with the CURVEN8R so we could dance through those curves to the sound of the Symphony in Flat Six. OK, so now I have to clean the drool off my monitor. Thanks for posting. How may days till spring?by Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum

Actually, we've had no snow in the last week. They were calling for a dusting today (about an inch) but nothing so far. The BIG snow dump two weeks ago was 60 miles west of here where they had 4.5 feet of snow in a couple of days. Maybe we'll be in the banana belt this year.by Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum
Quoteboxtaboy Ok here in Northern NJ. After more than a foot of snow fell overnight, I dumbly went out at 7am to see how bad the roads really were. Not THAT bad, but decided it better to just stop off at Mickey D's for breakfast and head back to work from home instead. Lol. Don't think the Boxster would've fared so well in this weather, as I had to drive through some areas where the roads weren'by Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum

The inspection they have in Germany, at least, is manditory and covers a lot more than just emissions. It's a full safety check. I had my uncle visit from Germany a number of years ago and he was surprise that cars with holes rusted in the body were actually allowed on the roads here.by Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum

I think sometimes a battery can have one cell that is bad even when new, although I would think it would show up pretty soon after purchasing the car or battery. I once replaced a battery in my wife's car and it went about 2 weeks before it died. I just had one bad cell. It was replaced uner warranty. Did the dealer check to see that it was being charged properly? That could be another reasonby Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum

1st, From SeaNile's own post, he already preferes the 05 (read his last sentence), so he'd probably keep kicking himself later. 2nd. Since he wants to drive it topless even in cool weather with the heated seats, the glass rear window won't need "chopping" and also, there wouldn't be the worry about the rear window cracking or stitching coming loose. (I enjoy driving mine topless in cool weather,by Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum
When I read the last sentence in your post, it looks like you've already answered your own question. If both cars look as if they're in about the same shape and a PPI checks both of them to be in good shape, I would probably come to the same conclusion that you did. All things being equal, I would go for the newest car that you can afford. As far as styling - interior and exterior look, it's perby Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum
to think there were no caps. The first time I looked at my battery, I thought the same thing. It wasn't until I took a closer look the second time that I saw the strips. I've checked them regularly. On occasion, I've had to add a bit of distilled water, but not very much. Better to check and know it's alright, than to suddenly be stranded with a dead battery. So have you started praying for an eby Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum
I can see the two strips of black tape that are covering 3 caps each. You can see the outline of the caps in the tape. Just peel back the tape and stick it back on when you've replace the caps. I figure it keeps any dirt out of the gap around the caps.by Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum
My Boxster still has the OEM battery. At first glance, it appears there are no caps to take off. Just check the 2 black strips that are stuck over the caps. I peel them off and stick them back on when I'm done checking the battery level. My charger is plugged into the cigarette lighter and the unit plugs into the wall. I've never felt it warm enough to even warm my hands when it is on in the Winby Guenter in Ontario - Main Forum
