If the mechanic misinterpreted the codes and you are posting what he said we have much less chance of diagnosing it than if you tell us the codes.by Boxsterra - Main Forum
Are you referring to the trim on the door or the trim on the top that the window goes into?by Boxsterra - Main Forum
And it's likely either the microswitch in the door or the lock unit, which can be fussed with until it works acceptably. Check under the driver's seat for moisture for the most likely cause of the other problems.by Boxsterra - Main Forum
If I just saw it once I would dismiss it as a typo but now I've seen it several times.by Boxsterra - Main Forum
In fact, it is problematic enough that I would guess a mistake there as being a reasonably likely cause of failure.by Boxsterra - Main Forum
Are you keeping the clutch pedal fully pressed to the floor the entire time you're bleeding the clutch? What year is your car? (Later model years may require toggling of the ABS -- I think -- unit to get the entire system bled)by Boxsterra - Main Forum
The part is about $175 and book time is 2.4 hours. If you do it yourself, the part is $120 and it takes about 45 minutes.by Boxsterra - Main Forum
I am assuming that when you say "thunk happens as soon as the clutch is fully disengaged" you actually mean "engaged" (clutch pedal released). There is no way to check the mount without removing it. But removing it is not terribly difficult. And with that many miles on it I can guarantee that it is shot. The motor mounts only last 50k-ish miles. You should check the water level. If it is low, fill to the line, charge, and try again. Mike Focke has a detained writeup of how to diagnose battery problems: For the items you're looking to give away, I recommend you make a list of them and put it in the classifieds:by Boxsterra - Main Forum
Why replace it with a new one? I don't know what the relative prices are over there but a used replacement engine for your car in the US is probably 3-5k USD. Also, there must be other Porsche mechanics that don't work for the dealer. I would get a second opinion before making a decision. Replacing the engine doesn't require any appreciable Porsche-specific knowledge so it doesn't have to be donby Boxsterra - Main Forum

The airbag system is ultra safe. You have to do something colossally foolish to cause the airbag to be accidentally deployed. There are many safety requirements for design of the SRS system, one of which is is that it doesn't errantly deploy even if there is a fault in the system. That is because if it was possible for it to deploy at the wrong time, it could cause an accident and serious injury.by Boxsterra - Main Forum

and I appreciate that they are true small cars (as opposed to the Mini). Also, the interior of the Mini looks like it was designed by Fisher Price for teenage boys. The Fiat has a much classier interior.by Boxsterra - Main Forum
There are two over the rear cats and two inline on the exhaust pipe forward of the cats. Generally there is nothing you can see when they are loose.by Boxsterra - Main Forum
There are some places like the front and rear hood latches, for example, where the Wurth is perfect and no other lubricant I've tried (and I've tried many) works nearly as well.by Boxsterra - Main Forum
