QuotePedro (Weston, FL) Quotechrismmm i see that pelican parts has these sachs 3 piece kits for 491$. ... you get what you pay for. Why try to save a couple of hundred dollars on a cheap clutch when it may last less than half the life of an OEM or a Sachs and it will cost you the same to install? Happy Boxstering, Pedro thats exactly the kind of feedback i need to hear. Thank you. I will look aby chrismmm - Main Forum
i followed your suggestion in previous post and read a few articles on clutch replacement for 987s. thanksby chrismmm - Main Forum

I would like to hear any experiences good or bad regarding clutch replacement, clutch kit selection, etc before diving into a clutch kit replacement buy and subsequent shop work for same. I believe my clutch is slippin during a normal daily drive when the RPM down wind, and I lightly hit the accelearator to get back up to proper speed and rpm, i dont hear anything and dont experience what I haveby chrismmm - Main Forum
lmao. great response my friend. If offered to me I would drive it on the track a few times and then sell it and get another porsche.by chrismmm - Main Forum
i recently replaced my oem system with a kenwood av double din head unit, jl 5 channel amp, upgraded the 3" (alpines)in the top dash, 6" or 6.5" (kickers) in door, custom sub (kickers)on the deck behind me. for me it was worth it to pull all the old oem crap and put in the system i wanted. But i do that with every car i have ever had. i would rather hear road noise than listen to fm or am...pullby chrismmm - Main Forum
all very nice. I like the silver box as well..is it a 07? The smoothies (baby moons) on the older porsches look very cool ! I like that look. I am relatively new to the forum (6months) and would like to get best advice on where to get/where to look for the wheels on that black 914. I know they are Fuchs, chrome on black with center hubs..but I like how the front set appear to be a deep dish typeby chrismmm - Main Forum
Mark, Glad this worked out for you and happy boxstering in the hills!by chrismmm - Main Forum
Thanks for the response. Sounds like a small repair job. You are recommending l remove the cluster and adjust the face plate, correct?by chrismmm - Main Forum
Hey Guys, I dont post alot but would like to ask opinions on whether I can adjust this myself. Detail follows: 2007, 987, Base model, normal instrument cluster, red face with white numbers/letters. The cluster is fine to look at and use in daylight but the night time viewing it appears to me as though it has shifted enough to make the numbers unreadable at night on the speedometer. so much so thby chrismmm - Main Forum

in my area i get a lot of gawkers, interested kids, tailgaters that want to read the tag or lisc plate holder (mine says 82d Airborne Division), people stop me and ask me what year its is (i could tell them it is a 2011 and they would not know the difference. I especially love it when more expensive "luxury" cars pull up or near and look over my car..until i look over at them and catch them peekiby chrismmm - Main Forum
sharp. very sharp looking. for years i could never figure out why anyone would want to use a car cover. at this point im sure would agree after all that hard work it may be best to put a cover on it. I fully understand your comment about not being a garage king. great job on the pics too. May we ask about the front spoiler, where u got it and cost sir?by chrismmm - Main Forum

Quoter9i8c7k No, you cannot disable the TPMS with this tool. Matt, When is was in the durametric tool yesterday and looking thru the separate functionalities that can be changed I was sure I saw a few entries ref tpms in the s/w. I may fire it up again before sending back to Mark and respond here. Thanksby chrismmm - Main Forum

Fun, Fun, My New to me 07 Boxster and after acquiring dempseys 101 projects book and deciding to dive into air filter and cabin filter replacement. The boxster that I purchased in June may have never had a proper servicing. I was surprised that the original owner would let a porsche fall out of shape like this. You guys would know better than I whether this is a common occurrence or not. I thoughby chrismmm - Main Forum
im not super savvy with the boxster yet but this has happened to me in my 07 base box a few times when the steering wheel was locked and the car would not crank. It may be 100% UNRELATED but for me to get my to crank i would have to turn the wheel a little to left or righ to get it out of locked position and then it would crank. I regret I couldnt be of more help. Take care.by chrismmm - Main Forum
