Haven't posted for a while, and hope you all are doing well. Anyway, don't drive my Boxster much anymore, but what a beautiful day to take the car out for a drive, so I hop in and notice these helicopter maple leaf thingies. Pick one up and the seed is missing from it. Dang rodents!! What I don't get is how they get in the car as the roof and windows are always closed in the garage. I do notice aby CarreraLicious - Main Forum
There is a hesitation from stop to start of acceleration in the BMW automatics. We noticed it too in the X5 we test drove and didn't like it. Strange cause our Infiniti FX35 has no such lag at the time you step on the go pedal. Wondering if it's something to do with the e-gas programming for the Bimmers. Noticed same thing in the ML350 we drove.. No such lag in the Cayenne.by CarreraLicious - Main Forum
I think someone is probably is just trying to mess with you. Who would just take off 4 bolts and leave with them? More then likely, if they were planning to steal the wheels, they would've left the bolts there after discovering that there was a lock bolt. Also, what are the chances they removed the unlocked bolts only to find the lock bolt last? I think they deliberately removed all 4 unlocked boby CarreraLicious - Main Forum
My worried mom calls me to tell me not to drive my car cause of reported car fires. I told her Ma...don't worry....I don't drive a GT3. Lolby CarreraLicious - Main Forum

I'm no pilot....unless you consider using my mechanical Breitling to pilot my Boxster... And sometimes my Omega as well...by CarreraLicious - Main Forum
I had this problem before too. It turned out that the receiving plug on headlamp tray in the back was not staying in place when the headlight was inserted. Take the headlight out and look back at the receiving plug in the back of the tray. If you can push the plug back a bit with your finger, it means the plug needs to have the blue clip behind it replaced to hold it in place better. You may evby CarreraLicious - Main Forum
Yes, it was a base V6, so prob not a good example. The Z was a base V6 too though. Your car looks cool with those mods. Glad you are enjoying it.by CarreraLicious - Main Forum
Dennis, how does the Stang handle vs the 350z you had? I had rented both the 350z and a Stang once during vacations, and found the Stang handled like a bus. I'm sure your souped up version handles much better than the stock one I rented though.by CarreraLicious - Main Forum
I've found that my grey wheels hide the dust very well. I don't have to clean my wheels often. Lol On my SUV, I've noticed that I hardly ever have brake dust, and can go months without dirty wheels. Maybe Japanese cars use pads that give off less dust?by CarreraLicious - Main Forum
QuoteMauriceonLongIsland Better still... Keep yours and buy the wife a 991 PDF Cabriolet! Win, Win, Win situation! Regards, Maurice. Yeah, but that's a lose situation for my wallet!by CarreraLicious - Main Forum
QuoteMauriceonLongIsland Rich: Wouldn't it be easier to just teach Becky to drive a stick? I probably know the answer to that question, but I had to ask it anyway because I have a similar situation here! Regards, Maurice. Maurice, I tried teaching her once and my clutch wasn't happy.by CarreraLicious - Main Forum
QuoteJoanne in OC I can tell you that my left foot is feeling kinda left out. When it get in the car, I'm so used to the clutch that it now goes for the break when I put the key in. At least it has something to do Being I haven't been able to do much driving, just to and from work, I'll know more tomorrow Joanne Great, let us know how you like it over time. There are days I feel I would likby CarreraLicious - Main Forum
QuoteJoanne in OC Looks great!! I'm sure you've had alot of fun it and will have many more years of memories. Joanne Thanks Joanne. Enjoy your new Boxster, and let us know how you like the PDK after having it a while. I'm curious if you end up missing the manual.by CarreraLicious - Main Forum
QuoteJMstamford,ct Glad to see you here too. I have become a sometime lurker and even rarer poster. We gotta get together JM. Still figuring out dates for us to gather for dinner with our wives. How's the project car coming along?by CarreraLicious - Main Forum
Great to hear you are still enjoying the car Clam. From what I hear and read, the IMS in my car is supposed to fail according to all the theories, but it's still going strong. I only change my oil once every 12k miles or 2 years...whatever comes first. In the first 6 or 7 years of its life, it lived in NYC where a parking attendant always started and shut off the engine before handing the car tby CarreraLicious - Main Forum
Quotedennisafrompa Lucky you.....How's life in the suburbs? Do you miss the upper west side? Hey Dennis! How are ya? Well, we went from the city to city views to view of a kid's playset to mostly trucking around in an SUV on weekends to do our shopping. Lol! But, we like it, and as you can see, so does our son... We still are only 30 minutes from NYC, so can still go when we miss it, but I doby CarreraLicious - Main Forum
